Among them are all-state selections Alissa Heskamp Alissa Heskamp 5'5" | PG Spearville | 2021 State KS (Spearville) and Hayley Hughes Hayley Hughes 5'9" | PG Hutchinson Trinity | 2021 State KS (Hutchinson Trinity), among several others.
Gosia Byczkowska, 5’11, G, 2021, Wichita Independent
A skilled two-way player who can defend and connect from 3-point range. She is a solid catch-and-shoot player who runs the floor well and gets to her spot on the floor. She moves well off the ball but can handle the ball as well and create some. She’s also a good defensive player who can see time inside and on the perimeter. Byczkowska also reports a 4.0 GPA.
Alissa Heskamp Alissa Heskamp 5'5" | PG Spearville | 2021 State KS , 5’7, G/F, 2021, Spearville
Heskamp is a strong and agile performer who can make plays with and without the ball in her hands. She looks to stay in motion but makes plays as a defender, as a passer and as a scorer. She can rebound well and is aggressive inside but also has a scorer’s mentality as she looks to attack the basket and shoot high percentage shots but also is capable of stepping back and knocking down 3-pointers.
Hayley Hughes Hayley Hughes 5'9" | PG Hutchinson Trinity | 2021 State KS , 5’9, G/F, 2021, Hutchinson Trinity
An underrated performer who can create with your dribble and break down defenses and pull up from the mid-range area. Hughes is a smooth Lefty who has a solid rhythm and a soft touch to her shot. She can knock down 3-pointers but always seems to find her way inside and around the glass. She defends the ball well and looks to create for herself and her teammates and can do so with ease.
Torrence Lovesee, 5’10, G/F, 2021, Bluestem
Another underrated prospect who can use her size to her advantage. Lovesee has good vision and length and can come away with steals and blocks shots left and right. She can also handle the ball and bring it up the floor and kick off a transition play. She can score using her frame and her jump shot and place physical and looks to rebound and make plays around the basket.
Chevelle Ralstin Chevelle Ralstin 5'7" | CG Elkhart | 2021 State KS , 5’9, G/F, 2021, Elkhart
An underrated performer who looked to score and make plays in transition. Ralstin was a 2A third team All-State performer who looked to play physical and help her team set a tone defensively. She was a standout rebounder who took her job seriously and looked to seal off opponents and use everything she had to secure the ball. Ralstin is an underrated defensive player who works hard at both ends of the court.
