Player rankings can be both popular and unpopular, depending on your perspective. The rankings will draw in coaches, players, and family members and hopefully provide some validation and motivation for those players on the list and those that are not. This is just another great tool we use to provide these deserving players the recognition they deserve.
Either way, rankings do matter for many reasons but the most important thing to remember about our rankings is that they are unbiased and are in no way a definitive way to describe a player and her skills. Rankings are a tool to help players gauge where they are in respect to their peers in their class.
The question often asked is are rankings accurate? Yes, they are but they are not perfect. The important thing to remember about rankings is that at its core it will allow for all players to get the needed exposure they deserve for the work they have put in so far.

The standout point guard really came into her own the past year. Playing her AAU ball with Brad Beal Elite out of St. Louis, Saniah is unguardable off the bounce. Her vision and court savvy are two traits that you can not coach. She scores it well from all three levels; at the rim, in the mid-range, and from three. Saniah is a rare find with her ability to also defend at a high level, as she disrupts the other teams offense with her on-ball defense. Listed by ESPN HoopGurlz at #50 in the nation and #15 at her position.
No. 4 Ι Cierra Smith Cierra Smith 5'8" | CG Grandview | 2022 State MO Ι Grandview
The Class 4 All-State selection had an outstanding season for the lady bulldogs. Leading her team in almost every statistical category, Cierra played up to the challenge. She has elite level ball control and can get to any spot on the floor and scores it at a very high level. Her ability to defend, get deflections, and steals, allows her to get out on the break for easy scores. Cierra plays through contact attacking the rim and rebounds it well from her position.

A fearless combo guard with elite-level ball skills. Tasia plays the game the right way and the bigger the stage the better she plays. Great speed and quickness but does not play out of control. Solid in the mid-range and has range out to the three-point line. Creative handles off the bounce and really attacks and finishes at the rim. Her defensive ability on-ball is outstanding with her quick hands and ability to read and react to plays as they develop.

The all-around combo guard simply fills the stat sheet every game. Amaya has great size and length that allows her to be a terror on defense; both playing passing lanes and on-ball. She has a great feel for the game and can score at all three levels; from three, in the mid-range, and at the rim. Great instincts and vision and she plays hard on both ends. Amaya is very creative with the ball and plays the game the right way.
No. 9 Ι Alexa Rubel Alexa Rubel 6'0" | CG Cape Notre Dame | 2022 State MO Ι Cape Girardeau Notre Dame
The super-skilled lefty can flat out score the ball. Her size and length allow her to get to any spot on the floor and she plays athletic off the bounce. Lexi can play both on the ball and off and she has a great understanding of how to move without the ball. She can grab a defensive board and start the break herself and has great vision to find open teammates. Lexi has an all-around skill set that in combination with her size makes her hard to guard.
