Prep Girls Hoops Missouri takes a look at some of the top Class of 2021 forwards in the St. Louis metro area.
[player_tooltip player_id="106903" first="Avery" last="Lackey"] 6’1" St. Francis Borgia: A skilled and mobile post player who has a nice shooting touch out to 15 feet. She uses her height and length to be an effective shot blocker. As a junior, she averaged 13.4 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.4 blocks while shooting 46 percent from the field.
J’Lessa Jordan 6’0" Hazelwood Central: A very athletic who really excels as a rebounder and shot blocker. She is one of the best rim protectors in the city. As a junior, she averaged 5.4 points and 6.5 rebounds and 3.2 blocks in helping the Hawks to a 20-9 record and a berth in the Class 5 Final Four.
Paige Fowler 5’10" Herculaneum: A solid combo forward who can score around the basket or go outside and create offense off the dribble. As a junior, she averaged 18.9 points, 7.6 rebounds and two steals a game while shooting 52 percent from the field.
Madison Weydert 6’2" Fort Zumwalt West: A solid post player who can finish with both hands around the basket. As a junior, she averaged six points and five rebounds a game with 38 blocks in helping West to a Class 5 district championship.
Daniyah Ward 6’0" Lift for Life: A small school standout who plays a strong game at both ends of the floor. As a junior, she averaged 13 points and 15 rebounds a game while shooting 52 percent from the field in helping the Hawks to 20 victories.
