Ten Shooters to Know- Division 1 Below is a list of players who stood out for their high three point percentages. Each one of these players competes for Division one programs. [player_tooltip player_id="132378" first="McKenna" last="Monogue"] | Middleton | 39% Is monogue the best perimeter shooter in the big eight conference? Monogue impacts the game on multiple spots on the court. Playing on such a top ranked Middleton team that went 25-1 this season, Monogue remained confident beyond the arc. The 6’1 forward uses her height well to score over defenders, she’s long and has a nice touch to her shot. The sophomore standout made 37 three point shots this season. [player_tooltip player_id="132456" first="McKenzie" last="Johnson"] | Bay Port | 48% Johnson showed she has undeniable range this season. She shoots from anywhere on the floor with confidence. Leading her team in scoring this season with 13.6, Johnson has a scorers mentality. She has a great ability to get open without the ball and set her feet quick to shoot before the defender. The senior finished with 73 three point baskets made. Maddy Schrieber | Kimberly | 39% A top ranked player for Prep Girls Hoops that has proved to be a sniper from beyond the arc as well. She’s a triple threat for Kimberly and really developed her mid range and perimeter shot during her junior campaign. She has great handles and speed for height, making it easier to create a shot for herself beyond the arc. Schrieber is also very affected in the corner off a pass. This season the UW Green Bay commit finished with 38 three point baskets. [player_tooltip player_id="132371" first="Lily" last="Hansford"] | Appleton East | 40% Helping lead her team to the number two spot in the Fox Valley Association conference this season was Hansford. I’ve covered the guard multiple times this season and each time I’m impressed with her range beyond the arc. She has a great shot selection, knowing when to knock down the perimeter shot for her team. She finished second in scoring this season with 13 points per game. The 6’2 crafty offensive threat finished with 80 made three point shots for Appleton East. [player_tooltip player_id="155770" first="Delaney" last="Clark"] | Appleton East | 39% Clark really developed into a solid guard for her team this season. She constantly plays with a lot of energy and speed on both ends. She has great court vision and finds her teammates open really well at 6’0. She runs the floor well in transition and will often stop at the three point line and knock it down. A great role player for Appleton East. She has a quick release and is strong with her shot. She made 44 three point shots this season. Savanna Leopold | Superior | 38% Leopold led her team in scoring this season with 11.9 points per game. The freshman point guard was not frazzled leading the offense and did a great job maintaining composure and tempo. She had multiple impact performances that helped lead her team to a successful season. The point guard finished with 51 three point shots made. [player_tooltip player_id="156050" first="Grace" last="Grocholski"] | Kettle Moraine | 37% The top player in the Classic Eight Conference, Grocholski really does it all for her team. Ranked in the top three for her class, Grocholski is one of the most composed freshman I’ve seen all season. Helping lead her team to a 10-6 conference record she helped her team with her outside shooting ability. She creates a shot for herself beyond the perimeter. The first team Classic Eight selection finished with 50 three point baskets this season. Kalina Winslow | Kenosha Indian Trail | 37% Winslow led her team in scoring this season with 14.5 points per game. Playing in a tough Southeast conference, defense is always in your face and intense. To be able to stand out as a three point specialist is super rare so Winslow’s stat line speaks for itself. Her outside shooting game is impressive. The 5’9 guard has great handles, helping her to create space for her shot. She made 60 three point baskets for Kenosha Indian Trail. [player_tooltip player_id="155772" first="CJ" last="Romero"]| Brookfield Central | 36% Romero is one of those players that can impact the game on any given night. I’ve covered her many times during her time at Brookfield Central and she continues to become more versatile each game. She’s ultra athletic with a great feel for the game. She finished second in scoring and rebounding while leading her team in assists. A confident shooter beyond the arc the 5’3 junior finished with 57 made three point baskets this season. [player_tooltip player_id="132423" first="Anna" last="Mortag"] | Brookfield Central | 36% Mortag led Brookfield Central this season in both scoring and rebounding. A talented athlete that can defend and be a threat on offense. A 6’0 Mortag can guard multiple positions on the floor as well as score from many spots. This season she really developed her outside shooting stroke and was often seen knocking down the three off a pass. The IUPUI commit made 44 three point baskets this season.
