Continue ReadingFor years the Bay State League has been one of the best public high school leagues in all of Massachusetts. This past year was no different as Herget Division M.V.P. Brenna McDonald will be taking her career to Yale University, while on the other side Carey M.V.P. Kiara McIntyre will be headed to Division II St. Leo University in Florida. This coming year looks to be as exciting as ever with several returning all-stars and college prospects among the graduating class of 2021.
Players To Watch:
5’8” – Guard -Kaelagh Malloy – Wellesley – This sharp shooting guard was the Team M.V.P for the Raiders last season leading them in scoring with over 11 points per game. She was named a 1st Team League All-Star.
5’11” – Power Forward – Caroline Klemm – Needham – One of the most dominant post players in the league, she averaged a double-double scoring 14 points and 10 boards a game. This 1st team League All – Star will play for the Mass Mavericks this summer.
5’9” – Shooting Guard – Lily Adams – Braintree – Played a huge role on the Wamps 2019 state championship team and then missed last year due to an injury. Looks to have an outstanding senior season and return to her top form.
5’11” – Center – Michaela O’Neil – Newton North – Had a breakout junior season in which she averaged 14 points and 13 rebounds per game. 1st Team All – Star plays for the Mass Huskies in A.A.U.
5’6” – Shooting Guard – Kerin Mccarthy – Weymouth – The Wildcats leading scorer averaged over 15 ppg while also leading the team in assists. 1st Team All- Star will play for MT Elite Ducks this off-season.
5’11” – Power Forward – Aisling Crowley – Braintree – This high motor forward finishes well around the basket and is tough as nails on the defensive end. Will pair up nicely with teammate Lily Adams. Honorable Mention All League, she will play for the MT Elite Ducks this summer.
