Alohilani Bursey 5’10” St. Clair: A versatile athlete who excels at multiple positions on the floor. She plays the “Swiss Army Knife” role very well with her ability to score, rebound, facilitate while playing excellent defense. She is also a standout softball player and a college prospect in that sport. As a junior, she averaged 16.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 4.5 steals while shooting 59 percent from the field.
Peyton Starks 5’10” John Burroughs: A talented wing with good length and a versatile skill set. She is a potent scoring threat who can create her own shot off the dribble.Her handles are good and her shooting touch is pure. As a junior, she averaged 14.7 points, 6.1 rebounds and two assists a game while shooting 50 percent from the field. She will be one of the leaders of what should be a very strong John Burroughs team next season.
Hannah Scherzinger 5’9″ Ursuline Academy: The talented all-around guard was one of the top players in the loaded Metro Women’s Association. She has the ability to score inside while knocking down 3-pointers with equal effectiveness. She is also a solid defensive player. As a junior, she averaged 18.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.1 steals while shooting 38 percent from 3-point range.
Ja’Mise Bailey 5’8″ Webster Groves: A talented two way performer who puts in work at both ends of the floor. She is a solid ball handler who can attack the basket and knock down open 3-pointers. She also does a nice job on the defensive end as an on-ball defender. As a junior, she averaged 9.4 points and 4.5 rebounds in helping the Stateswomen to a Class 5 district championship game berth.
Mackenzie Duff 6’0″ Nerinx Hall: A talented two-sport athlete who has already committed to Clemson to play soccer, she is also an impact player on the basketball court. She is an excellent scorer around the basket with her size and athleticism. She is very good on the drive and she can score with both hands very effectively. As a junior, she averaged 15.6 points and 6.6 rebounds while shooting 45 percent from the field.
