Top Returners in the Skyland Conference

The Skyland Conference is one of the most underrated ones in the state. They are full of teams with high win totals because of their excellent players and coaches. We all know about Caileigh Walsh and [player_tooltip player_id="134611" first="Christina" last="Dalce"] returning for their senior years. Here are some more of the key returning players that will keep the conference at a high-level of competition. Meghan Pedrani (2022) | Somerville Pedrani might be the biggest impact maker on the perimeter returning in 2020-2021. She scored 432 points and knocked down 59 three’s. Pedrani also averaged three steals per game. She is a difference maker on both ends of the floor. Arianna McCleod (2021) | Bound Brook McCleod had a big hand in leading Bound Brook to 26 wins in 2019-2020. She was second on the team in scoring behind [player_tooltip player_id="159437" first="Cameron" last="Ward"]. With Ward moving on, McCleod becomes an extremely important piece. She has the ability to take over games on both ends and Bound Brook will need that next season. [player_tooltip player_id="155451" first="Gissell" last="Gamble"] (2023) | Franklin Franklin is losing some of their top guns in [player_tooltip player_id="134599" first="Keona" last="Schenck"] and Onoseta Ufuah. This leaves Gamble in a leadership role entering her sophomore year. Her first season showed that she is ready. She finished near the top of the team in nearly every statistic on both ends. Gamble has a high-ceiling and she will begin to reach it sooner than later. Delaney Donohoe (2021) | Ridge Donohoe fits in perfectly with the trend of strong forwards in the Skyland. She averaged over eight rebounds per game as a junior. Ridge is losing Sophie Beneventine and [player_tooltip player_id="159441" first="Taylor" last="Smith"] which is a big hit, but Donohoe is the type of player that can take over any extra slack. Nora Dornich (2022) | Belvidere Dornich is a stretch four with great versatility. She can step out and shoot or play down low among larger defenders. Brieann Opdyke is moving on and that means Dornich will have even more responsibility. She will have the ball in her hands a lot and that is good news for Belvidere.
