The guards mentioned on this list have shown that despite being undersized on the basketball court, they can still get the job done. These talented guards are all under 5’7 who play much bigger and strong that they may seem at first glance.
Bailey Butler Bailey Butler 5'7" | PG Black Hawk | 2021 State WI | Black Hawk | Wisconsin Academy | 5’7 CG
Prep Hoops has been seeing so much out of Butler this summer as she has become one of the most talented players in her class. She is a triple threat and can do it all for her team. She is a quick athletic guard and thrives when attacking the basket. She’s unafraid of contact and is crafty at finishing at the rim. The UW Green Bay commit scored over 1,000 points in her high school career and averaged just over 15 points per game last season.
Vanessa Solano | Martin Luther | WI Impact | 5’7 PG
Easily one of the most crafty guards in her class. Solano plays with so much confidence, swag and composure on the floor than anyone I’ve seen. She is not frazzled by high pressure defense and won’t ever switch up her tempo due to a defense. She shows an elite change of pace skill; the ability to go from slow to fast or fast to slow can dismantle even the best defenders. A high volume shooter who is confident far beyond the arc.
Mia Morel Mia Morel 5'7" | PG Madison Memorial | 2021 State WI | Madison Memorial | Flight Elite | 5’7 PG
An exciting point guard to watch as she is intense and so aggressive on the court. A defensive specialist, Morel is extremely explosive and has tremendous footwork. An offensive threat as well, Moral pushes the temp and can knock it down anywhere on the floor. Morel is committed to California Baptist University.
Natalie Jens Natalie Jens 5'7" | CG Beaver Dam | 2021 State WI | Beaver Dam | 5’7 CG
An impact player for her squad, the offense would not flow as smoothly as it does on her Beaver Dam squad, without her. She is patient and composed on the floor. Jens has an impressive shot collection and ability to find her shot within the offene. A disciplined guard with great spacing, Jens makes her teammates better and more involved. Jens is committed to Minnesota State Moorhead.
Oliva Gamoke | Onalaska | Team Wisconsin | 5’7 CG
The number 17 player in her class, Gamoke has a high ceiling at the next level. The First Team All Conference selection in the Mississippi Valley conference, Gamoke has continued to improve every aspect of her game. She thrives on the defensive end and is extremely fast when chasing after loose balls.
Jaelyn Acker Jaelyn Acker 5'7" | CG Germantown | 2021 State WI | Germantown | 5’7 CG
Acker has great vision on the floor. The germantown guard excels at creating a shot for herself. She is versatile off the dribble and uses her handle to say in control in the lane. Acker has a smooth pull- up jumper in transition and makes plays happen. She thrives in the open floor and seems to be giving 110% the entire time on the floor.
Sheridan Flauger Sheridan Flauger 5'5" | CG Pulaski | 2021 State WI | Pulaski | Purple Aces | 5’5 CG
Flauger has continued to develop many parts of her game. A scoring guard who gets herself open and moves well without the ball, a team could certainly rely on Flauger to put up huge numbers for herself. However, at 5’5 she’s been able to adapt to taller guards and find new ways to be successful on the court. She’s increased her passing and has really molded into a passing threat on the court. The floor general for this squad is also a scrappy high pressure defender and does well forcing players to take bad shots. Flauger is committed to UW Parkside.
