Last weekend I made my way to Noblesville once again, but this time it was to spend Saturday at the Girls Indiana Summer Classic, hosted by Indiana Elite and USA Youth Hoops. Sunday I turned my car in the other direction and headed to Plymouth, Indiana, for the LBI Michigan Jamboree, co-hosted by Lady Ballers Insider and [program_tooltip program_id='716173' first='Always' last='100']. Both events showcased some talented young ladies, and it was a great opportunity for me to get eyes on several teams for the first time this Summer. Below is a look at the 15U Indiana teams I was able to catch over the two-day weekend. If a team you follow was there and I didn't get the opportunity to see them, I will seek them out in the next few weeks. (There is another article already posted on PGH Michigan, but it is limited to Michigan prospects I evaluated. There were several Michigan teams in Plymouth.) [program_tooltip program_id='716173' first='Always' last='100'] Elite - Edmonds With several members of the 2023 class playing "up" in 16U & 17U, this [program_tooltip program_id='716173' first='Always' last='100'] group is arguably one of the most talented 15U teams in the state. 5-6 point guard [player_tooltip player_id="59732" first="Ashlynn" last="Brooke"] (2023) of Pioneer wowed us with her postseason play, and she was again outstanding all day Sunday. You get drawn in to her ability to shoot the ball at a high level, and with range, that I think people miss what a tremendous passer she is and what a great feel for the game she possesses. She has multiple Division-I offers, and that list will grow fast. 5-11 forward [player_tooltip player_id="96091" first="Renna" last="Schwieterman"] (2023) of Jay County is another really nice Division-I prospect who already holds at least one MAC offer. She is a strong forward with length, height, and skill. She is comfortable around the perimeter, but she also possess the size to play in the mid-post effectively. I felt like 5-10 forward [player_tooltip player_id="59778" first="Alison" last="Stephens"] (2023) of Homestead had some nice moments as well. She is another versatile, inside-out forward with good size, strength, and skill. The twin duo of 5-10 wing [player_tooltip player_id="59758" first="Saniya" last="Jackson"] (2023) and 5-10 forward [player_tooltip player_id="59759" first="Nevaeh" last="Jackson"] (2023) of Fort Wayne Carroll flash great upside. Both are long, fluid, somewhat bouncy athletes. They'll need to get much stronger for the future, but they compliment each other well. Saniya is a little more comfortable around the perimeter offensively and has a good mind for the game, while Nevaeh does some really nice things athletically in the mid-post right now. This team, collectively, is fun to watch. [program_tooltip program_id='716173' first='Always' last='100'] Prime - Barnett I'll be honest and say that I didn't get a great opportunity to see this team play much, so I will be seeking them out again this month. However, there were a couple of girls who did stand out in what time I was able to view them. 5-6 combo guard Alexa Robinson (2023) of Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran is definitely intriguing. She is a strong, fairly athletic, and aggressive kid who is good attacking downhill to the basket. 5-6 guard Kaydence Mellott (2023) of Tippecanoe Valley is another nice guard who posted a great rookie season this past Winter. She is a strong-for-her-age kid who possesses good all-around skill. I also thought 5-6 guard Meghan Kiebel (2023) of Central Noble did some really nice things. She is a strong athlete who plays with a good motor. Once again, I plan on seeing this group again sometime soon in July. [program_tooltip program_id='716173' first='Always' last='100'] United - Morrissette This was the very last team I saw on Sunday, but I'm glad I stuck around to watch them, as they have some really nice pieces. 6-0 forward [player_tooltip player_id="59749" first="Brea" last="Garber"] (2023) of Fairfield has a chance to be a really nice prospect long-term. She is very long, fluid, and skilled in most spots on the floor. She has some similarities in style of play to 2020 Crown Point grad [player_tooltip player_id="64112" first="Abby" last="Stoddard"] (2020). 5-8 wing Eva Fisher (2023) of Northridge is an overwhelming ball of energy. I don't know many kids with her athleticism that fly around the floor nonstop in every direction without a break. She is a tough matchup, because she is great going to the basket and has a nice, developing skillset. I also really liked the backcourt of 5-3 point guard Hilary Adams (2023) of Homestead and 5-5 point guard [player_tooltip player_id="96094" first="Addison" last="Ward"] (2023) of Twin Lakes. This was my first time seeing Adams, and she is a tough-nosed, strong-for-her size, quick little floor general who is really good off the bounce. If she can develop a consistent perimeter jumper, she'll be very tough to defend. Ward, on the other hand, is a longer, fluid, skillful kid who can shoot it with range. She looked early on like she was trying to "fit in" with this group, but as the game got going, she was much more aggressive and scored it well. Indiana Elite Fury - Gossett This team does have some 2022s on its roster, but I missed it in the 16U review and wanted to follow-up on this group in this article to make sure they got some attention. 5-11 front-liner [player_tooltip player_id="128179" first="Novalee" last="Glass"] (2022) of Brownsburg looks like she could be contributing for the Bulldogs in a much bigger way this coming season. She is strong, physical, and plays with a tremendous motor. She has good hands, she finishes well inside, plus she has some skill facing the basket in the mid-post. I was really impressed with her productivity last Saturday. I also felt like 5-7 guard [player_tooltip player_id="127241" first="Tori" last="Thompson"] (2023) of Lafayette Central Catholic played very well. When I saw her last Fall, she was more of a wing shooter, but Saturday she was handling the ball a great deal and starting the offense for this group. She has really good length, fluid athleticism, and she plays with a good motor as well. 5-9 wing [player_tooltip player_id="157171" first="Braylyn" last="Clendenen"] (2022) of Whiteland Community has some upside to her game as well. She is a long, fluid athlete, she plays with a solid motor, and she shows good versatility at both ends of the floor. 5-7 guard [player_tooltip player_id="127218" first="Olivia" last="Burkett"] (2023) of North Judson-San Pierre had a really good Winter for the Bluejays. She is a strong guard with a well-balanced skillset, and Saturday she showed that balance in doing a lot of little things for this team. Indiana Elite Lightning - Crowe This Indiana Elite group also has some 2022s on its roster, but they were listed as a 2023 team on the schedule, so that's why they're in this article. 5-9 wing [player_tooltip player_id="97247" first="Ellie" last="Wilkerson"] (2022) of Plainfield is the standout on this team. She is strong, long, and fairly athletic. She has very good skill, nice touch around the perimeter, plus she plays with a motor and understands how to play the game the right way. I really like how 5-10 forward [player_tooltip player_id="59725" first="Teegan" last="Acres"] (2023) of Hamilton Southeastern continues to develop her skillset. Last year I felt like she was more comfortable inside the arc, but now she's a true wing skillfully, plus she looks a little more explosive/fluid in most directions. 5-6 point guard [player_tooltip player_id="96084" first="Sydney" last="Horton"] (2023) of Roncalli is one to keep an eye on. Not only is she skilled with the ball and has the ability to consistently hit shots around the perimeter, but she is a tough-nosed kid who plays hard, she has a nice feel for the game, and she typically makes the right play more often than not. One player of intrigue is 6-1 post Campbell Moore (2023) of West Lafayette Harrison. She'll need some work skillfully, but she has a strong frame, some length, and she plays with a solid motor. If she can continue to develop her game, she could be a nice physical presence inside the paint. Indiana Elite Pride - Stutsman I felt like this team surprised me as much as any, but maybe some of that was my lack of familiarity with several of their players. Even still, they play tremendously hard and tough-nosed as a group, plus they have good all-around skill as individuals. 5-3 point guard [player_tooltip player_id="59761" first="Gracie" last="Kramer"] (2023) of Vincennes Lincoln has quickly become one of my favorite players to watch in this class. She is quick/fast, long for her height, and she plays with a motor, but she's also always engaged, talking to teammates, coaches, and even refs, and she just has a unique all-around court-sense, not to mention very good skill. 5-8 wing [player_tooltip player_id="59789" first="Linzie" last="Wernert"] (2023) of Lanesville was also fun to watch. She is a wiry strong, athletic energy-giver who can play just about anywhere on the floor. She'll be a wing in college, but she looked just as comfortable in the mid-post and on the block. She is coming off of a very productive Winter. 5-8 forward Hannah Stutsman (2023) of Scottsburg is another jack-of-all-trades type of forward with good athleticism. She played at all three levels equally well, she has a motor, and she has a solid lefty touch to the perimeter. 6-0 post Skylar Thompson (2024) of Jeffersonville will be one to watch as she enters high school. She is a big, strong, powerful true post who has good hands and decent footwork. Time2Ball - Jordan This Time2Ball group has a solid makeup with a little of everything on its roster. The player who probably stood out the most to me on Sunday was 5-9 wing Taylor Double (2023) of Huntington North. She has a solid, athletic frame, she moves well in most directions, but she also possesses good skill and can shoot the ball consistently with range to the 3-point line. 5-5 guard Anika Davis (2024) of Fort Wayne South Side was a new name to me, and she certainly showed good all-around upside. She is long, extremely quick/fast, and very active. I liked her attention to the defensive end of the floor, but she was also a nice slashing scorer offensively. 5-10 wing [player_tooltip player_id="127242" first="Olivia" last="Waters"] (2023) of Blackford certainly has the makings of a nice college prospect. She has length, wiry strength, plus she can handle the ball and create offense. I have never really seen her shoot it much outside, but she does find teammates for open scores. 6-0 post [player_tooltip player_id="59783" first="Skyla" last="Tomasek"] (2023) of Norwell is their lone interior presence, but she has some length, wiry strength, and she can post on the low-block or play in the mid-post. She should continue to develop into a solid post player.
