Prep Girls Hoops Missouri takes a look at the top forwards from the semifinals and championship games from last weekend’s Premier Sports Summer Bash in the UConn Division.
J’Leesa Jordan 6’0" Midwest United: A very athletic 2021 forward from Hazelwood Central who really excels as a rebounder and shot blocker. Her length enables her to block shots at a high rate without fouling. She also has a quick second jump on the offensive glass. Her upside is still pretty substantial as her offensive game continues to develop.
[player_tooltip player_id="107987" first="Carlie" last="Vick"] 6’2" Blue Star (Silvey): The talented 2022 post from Westminster Christian had a very productive championship game with 12 points. She catches the ball well in traffic and finished inside quite well. Her passing from the high post was good and she even stepped out and hit a 3-pointer.
Madison Weydert 6’2" Midwest United: A versatile 2021 post from Fort Zumwalt West with very good footwork inside and some nice dribble-drive moves, including a nice spin move. She is mobile and she runs the floor well. She will even step out for a pick and pop 3-pointer.
[player_tooltip player_id="106903" first="Avery" last="Lackey"] 6’1" Blue Star (Wilkenson): A lefty 2021 forward from Borgia with a nice shooting touch from 12 to 15 feet. She has a nice turnaround jumper over the right shoulder and she will put it on the floor on the drive.
[player_tooltip player_id="168746" first="Ally" last="Fitzgerald"] 6’2" (Silvey): A mobile 2022 post from Marquette who moves around the lane well with good fundamentals. She catches the ball and keeps the ball up high before finishing.She is also a good shot blocker with good timing.
