SW Ohio Class of 2021- Part 8

Today is a Cincinnati version of the SW Ohio Class of 2021 series, as all five of these seniors look to finish their high school careers with a strong final season this winter. <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Jenna Batsch, 6-0 Loveland</strong></span> Long and athletic who loves to slash to the rim, and can finish and score. Good handles and has the ability to create her own shot, or a shot for her teammates. Good range out beyond the arc. Smooth player in transition, makes it look easy. Defensively will hold her ground and create turnovers with her quickness and good hands. Has the ability to score with either hand. <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="91103" first="Marissa" last="Jenike"], 5-10 </strong></span><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>West Clermont</strong></span> This lefty has one of the smoothest pure shots from the perimeter, can fire from any range and will light up an opposing defense. Can also score short-range at the rim as she plays well through contact and uses her body control well to make plays in the paint. Good first step to separate herself. Marissa has a strong basketball IQ and knows where to be on the court. Will be attending Florida Southern. <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Shamia Strayhorn, 5-7 St. Ursula Academy</strong></span> Excellent court vision and able to make the right pass. Very athletic and uses it to her advantage. Has strong handles, can create plays on the floor, or put the ball on the floor and finish at the rim. Lulls you to sleep then blasts by her defender to score. Can play in an uptempo game, loves to run the floor, gets out and gives her team the advantage. Good midrange game. Anticipates, reads and reacts well on defense. <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="159380" first="Kara" last="King"], 5-8 Purcell Marian</strong></span> This kid has a lot of tools and is one of the best in Cincinnati. Great range, not afraid of pulling the trigger for a big shot for her team. Has excellent handles and can create for a good shot. Sees the floor, has a good good basketball IQ. Pushes the ball, and moves well without the ball, keeps her defender guessing. Aggressive player and her defense can translate into offense. <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Baylee Jones, 5-8 Western Brown</strong></span> This combo guard is a legit gym rat. She has excellent handles and passing while possessing outstanding court vision. She is also a strong penetrator to the rim and can shoot the three with the best of them. Very solid defender than can guard baseline-to-baseline. Good basketball IQ who continues to strengthen her game on a daily basis. &nbsp;
