Below is my top 10 from the class of 2022 that I saw play at the Windy City Classic in Indianapolis July 24th-26th. [player_tooltip player_id="201066" first="Ella" last="Lune"] 6’0 Brimfield High School / Heart of Illinois:  A long wing that can attack the rim, Ella is super talented.  She can run the floor and get out quick on the break. She has a college ready body and is strong enough to consistently finish around the rim with contact.  She has a good jumper and is able to hit the 3.  She will be able to play multiple positions at the next level. [player_tooltip player_id="194228" first="Mallory" last="Cyrulik"] 5’11 Clinton High School / Illinois Valley Warriors White:  Mallory is college ready now.  I foresee her as a stretch 4 at the collegiate level.  She is super long and is a rim runner and a strong finisher around the rim.  She has good hands and can catch anything.  A good defender as well, Mallory plays like she is 6’2. [player_tooltip player_id="124881" first="Cheri" last="Michalek"] 5’5 Lockport High School / Illinois Rockets:  Cheri is a high IQ player.  She reads the defense and doesn’t force things to happen.  A skilled passer, Cheri can also really shoot the ball.  She can knock down the 3 and is a good shooter off the dribble.  She has the ability to lead any team she plays for and will do what it takes to win. [player_tooltip player_id="160166" first="Katie" last="Baker"] 5’6 Serena High School / Illinois Warriors Blue:  Katie is so much fun to watch!  She plays with such a high motor and is full of energy.  She isn’t afraid to get on the floor and win the 50/50 balls.  A super quick combo guard, Katie has a low center of gravity that keeps her handles tight and strong.  She has a nice jump shot and can really pressure the basketball on defense.  She has a great all around game. [player_tooltip player_id="201070" first="Paige" last="Rannells"] 5’9 Lockport High School / Illinois Rockets:  A tall and long guard, Paige has a pretty shot.  She can shot from anywhere on the court. When I watched her play, her game was close and came down to the wire.  Paige wanted the ball and wasn’t afraid of the moment.  She hit a clutch 3 to pull the game within one possession.  I like that attitude in a player. [player_tooltip player_id="124863" first="Maya" last="Osborn"] 5’5 Marshall High School / Heart of Illinois:  A talented and poised point guard, Maya plays hard.  The game and tempo are in control when she has the ball in her hands.  She has strong handles and a quick crossover.  She does a good job when running the break at looking ahead and getting her teammates the ball in the right spot.  She can also knock down the 3. [player_tooltip player_id="78772" first="Katie" last="Krupa"] 6’1 Morton High School / Heart of Illinois:  The best post that I saw all weekend, the Harvard commit is an all around, skilled player.  She has great size and is quick enough to beat her opponents off the dribble and attack from the perimeter. She has a great shot and can score form every level.  She is a strong finisher around the rim and has very good footwork. [player_tooltip player_id="194507" first="Diavian" last="Mehundrew"] 5’8 Southeast High School / Illinois Predators Lowis:  Diavian can really play.  She can penetrate anytime she wants with her poised handles and quick first step.  She is strong and finishes around the rim with a flurry of moves.  She has terrific body control and never seems off balance.  She is able to post up smaller players and can hit the 3.  Diavian has a college ready body and is a player that many Division 2 schools should look at. [player_tooltip player_id="201068" first="Emily" last="Galvan"] 5’6 Rolling Meadows High School / Illinois Rockets:  Emily is another player that is so much fun to watch.  She isn’t afraid of the moment or anyone on the court.  She is feisty on defense, always communicating and reading the passing lanes.  She can rack up the steals because of her high IQ and aggressive hands.  She runs the floor and controls the break due in large part to her strong dribbling skills and a beautiful in/out dribble.  She has a nice shot that can go in from anywhere on the court. I particularly liked her step back that she used to shoot over taller opponents. [player_tooltip player_id="204892" first="Jordan" last="Porter"] 5’11 Geneseo High School / Illinois Warriors White:  Jordan is a super talented player that brings the whole package to the floor.  She is a long, really good athlete that has terrific footwork.  She slides her feet well and can move with anyone she plays against.  She can score from all over the court and has great handles.  She plays with the poise of a Senior and has the potential to play the 2-4 positions at the collegiate level [player_tooltip player_id="201067" first="Karleigh" last="Creasey"] 5’7 Normal Community High School / Illinois Warriors Blue:  A good athlete that brings great energy and vision to the court, Karleigh is a good all around player.  She takes care of the ball and is low to the ground when she goes by defenders.  She has a nice jump shot and runs the floor quickly.  She also brings tenacity to the defensive end of the floor and is able to pressure the ball the full length of the court. [player_tooltip player_id="201069" first="Rylee" last="Pfoutz"] 5’7 Dixon High School / Midwest Illinois Wildcats:  Rylee can help any team she plays on.  She has a team first mentality and does so many things to help you win.  She is a good defender and rotates her hips properly to cut off and deny cutters.  She can guard girls bigger than her but also pressure the point.  She is a good athlete that runs the floor well and can also knock down the 3.  If she works on her ball control this upcoming season, she will be a player that will get many looks from a lot of Division 3 schools.
