I’ll drop a few articles from both session 1 and 2 that will keep you in the loop
Hannah McDonald
McDonald participated in session 2 which was primarily all high school players and she blended in nicely falling into that “it’s not what you do, it’s who you do it against category” and one of the main things that caught my eye was her ability to take defenders off the dribble. After looking at the roster and observing what grade she was in, that’s even more impressive since she was doing it against players that were going into their last year of high school so that, her playing the passing lane as well as showing a nice step back all go into what I believe is coming
Iliana Liverpool
Liverpool plays hard on both ends of the floor and she loves playing defense baseline to baseline. She understands how to switch as well as force players to be set up in traps and her quick hands enabled her to come up with several steals. On the other end of the floor, she handled the ball well under pressure and showed she could distribute it under that same pressure making crisp passes through seams on the money and when you add that she already understands how to set defenders up, took them off the dribble numerous times but her stop and pop jumper mixed nicely with that
Destiny Graves
Graves also did her thing in session 2 in a big way as she attacked the basket relentlessly and finished several shots after contact. Her poise at her age against the older players was definitely a plus, she handled whatever pressure was applied yet on the flip, she did a pretty good job of applying it herself. I also enjoyed watching her create her shot, especially against the older players because that’s a biggie and what was even bigger than her creating it was the fact that she made it
Ashlynn Hollis
Hollis used to watch older sister Rexesha star in high school before she went on to the next level and the first time I saw Ashlynn play was a couple of years ago when she scored about 10 points in a row playing the passing lane because she was long and athletic and just read plays nicely. Fast forward to now, that base I speak about, long and athletic, has added quite a bit more as she attacks from everywhere, has good body control and finishes strong. I also like her pull-up as well as shot selection but she handles the ball well and sees the floor but her upside is scary, very scary
