Basketball recruiting often turns into a game of comparisons. One player reminds us of another player. Often times, we see an aspect of 1 prospect’s game that makes us think of another prospect. Petticord and Matuza are high quality floor generals. It’s their basketball IQ and ability to make a play with the pass that makes me conpare the 2.

Kimball is tough to compare to, but Hovey gets the job done. Both are versatile lead guards that can play score first or pass first styles.
[player_tooltip player_id="147718" first="Rakiyah" last="Beal"] (SF, Detroit Edison)

[player_tooltip player_id="147745" first="Taylor" last="Thompson"] (SF, Grand Blanc)

Beal and Thompson are both outstanding wing prospects. They remind me of each other in the fact that they’re matchup nightmares simply because they’re bigger, faster, and stronger thsn most of the competition.
