Miraya Perkins-5’9 PF (Hazen HS) Cy Fair Elite 15U National Bush
Perkins dad starred in the NBA for years and the apple didn’t fall far from the tree as far as effort and power, not to mention finding ways to put the ball in the basket. She’s athletic, plays within herself and has that “you won’t outwork me” mindset I love to see and it shows as she battles for everything, either in the paint or on the floor
Kenzie Willis-5’11 SF (Sulphur Springs HS) HG Elite 2023
Willis’ agility caught my eye the first time I saw her a she was able to take defenders off the dribble with ease yet she was athletic enough to finish while zig-zagging to the basket and strong enough to finish after contact but watching her create her shot continuously has my eyes glued to her progression
Alysia McDaniel-6’0 SF/PF (Parish Episcopal HS) Lady Drive Nation 16U National
McDaniel definitely gave me an eyeful the first time I saw her now I can say both eyes have been filled and although I love her upside, what she’s doing now is pretty impressive starting with understanding how to use her athleticism either by defending baseline to baseline or playing that ever so important passing lane I talk about over and over but she also finishes strong in the paint as well as rebounds on both ends of the court
Jalynn Bristow-6’2 SF/PF (Wichita Falls Rider HS) Team Lex Nation
Bristow is long and athletic, one more time, that’s the base however the treble effect of offense, defense, as well as court presence, will have her added to the Top 100 in a huge way but she floats to the rim and drops floaters, she creates her mid to long-range or just attacks the rim hard but when I see her playing the passing lane, I know something huge is coming because she’s that type of player
Nia Santiago-5’10 SF (Rockwall HS) Texas U 15U GUAA
Santiago’s upside is scary, she’s long and athletic, I don’t need to keep repeating that’s the base but I will because sometimes you have to keep doing the same thing which is what she is doing, showing me she can take defenders at Will showing no Grace and although my play on words might miss the mark, she plays very good defense and that passing lane is a huge asset she has but with her size and wingspan plus creating her shot, she is going to be hard to contain
Elise Jones-5’10 SF (Midlothian HS) Urban Heroes Alexander
Jones impressed me within two minutes because watching her dive on the floor in a crowd, twice and scoring two “and ones” is something the novice may overlook but being a REAL EVALUATOR, those #Throwback things just excite me. She plays hard on both ends, she rebounds and runs the floor after but she can create off the dribble for easy baskets
