Martasia Chambers (Lady Thunder)
Chambers mans up like there is no tomorrow and she takes pride in her defense as she always guards the opposite team’s top-scoring guard. She’s quick and has quick hands plus she moves her feet well and all of that, along with her reactions and doing things instinctively gets her steals galore, including playing the passing lane which leads to baskets going the other way
Karli Marburger (Lady Thunder)
Marburger just won’t be outworked and watching her dive on the floor as well as in the stands all season tells me it’s no fluke because she’s fearless and consistent on how she plays it. She understands positioning and forces offensive players to their weak side and she also plays the weak side well. Throw in she rebounds on both ends and voila, you have some of what she brings to the table but on the flip, she finishes strong as well
Brooke McAntry (Cy Fair Premier Black)
McAntry plays solid at the 5 position yet she has 4 like skills and combining her sized and mobility was played a big part in her not only controlling the paint on defense but stepping out of the paint to guard players. She moves her feet well, gets her arms up without fouling and she rebounds on both ends of the court, has good timing and blocks shots as well as deflects and alters them
Kayla Dickey (Lady Thunder)
Dickey goes so hard I was sweating watching her diving for loose balls and rolling on the floor after them as well. She has very good timing, picked numerous pockets so many that they were about to call security but she also understands how to change the momentum and do whatever it takes to stop her man. Good athleticism enabled her to come up with those same loose balls and attack the rim and finish
Tiara Hite (SWAG Elite)
Hite is a punisher, she plays strong defense and thinks the game. She understands how to switch and she also gets back to her position well but understanding what to do when a pick is being set is good to have, she does that, along with her powerful rebounding as she elevates for the ball of the glass and I’m talking about both ends of the court but she also finishes strongly after contact
