On the second day of the EOT NW Shootout, Oregon Elite 17U played a team from the Bay Area, as they had a significant team effort with quite a bit of standouts from the game. The first half was somewhat close, but it was the second half where Oregon Elite came out with a burst, as they came out with a 55 - 25 victory. It was a game of many individual standouts, led by the offensive wit of UC Davis signee [player_tooltip player_id="158476" first="Sydney" last="Burns"] who scored in a multitude of ways, as she steadfast guard was difficult for NorCal Dynasty to deal with as she is a lightning quick guard who has a nose to get to the rim. [player_tooltip player_id="158486" first="Cami" last="Fulcher"] and [player_tooltip player_id="158506" first="Ana" last="McClave"] were amongst the Oregon Elite defensive thwarts on the perimeter, as they each finished with nine steals between the two of them. [player_tooltip player_id="158479" first="Schuyler" last="Berry"] and [player_tooltip player_id="158478" first="Natalie" last="Lathrop"] combined fifteen rebounds as they claimed their reign within the paint. Six Oregon Elite players scored five points or more, as it was a full fledged effort from top to bottom. Oregon Elite was running on all cylinders, as they ran away with this one as it was a full team effort but it allowed for their individuals to put out their best representations of themselves. [player_tooltip player_id="158479" first="Schuyler" last="Berry"] 2021 6’2" C Oregon Elite/Grant HS - Schuyler is a forward who is more on the traditional scale, one who is disciplined in her defensive effort and whose size makes for a difficult obstacle to fight through. She used such characteristics on her way towards 7 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 steal, as she gets a lot of second chance points through her offensive rebounding skills and is always active defensively. [player_tooltip player_id="158477" first="Emilia" last="Bishop"] 2021 6’1" PF Oregon Elite/Wilsonville HS - While she wasn’t as active on offensive as she is capable of, Bishop has an incredibly solid frame who is a superb defender, as she is both physical but tactical. Difficult to score through as she knows how to make her opposition feel struck due to her size while in the paint, as she contributed 1 point, 4 rebound, and 2 steals. [player_tooltip player_id="158476" first="Sydney" last="Burns"] 2021 5’9" SG Oregon Elite/Wilsonville HS - Sydney is the engine of this team on offense, as she can rev up quickly and score in a hurry and hustle back on defense and throw a wrench in the opposing team’s plans. A quick witted defender who initiates the half court trap, but once the ball is in her hands it is off to the races. Contributed 12 points, 2 rebounds, and 3 assists for Oregon Elite. [player_tooltip player_id="158485" first="Leah" last="Doutt"] 2021 5’8" PG Oregon Eite/McNary HS - Leah is dangerous from the perimeter, as she hit two three’s from deep and is someone that can take pressure off the point guard as she is an adept ball handler as well. High IQ guard that can score from all three levels. Contributed 6 points and 2 rebounds for Oregon Elite. [player_tooltip player_id="158486" first="Cami" last="Fulcher"] 2021 5’8" SG Oregon Elite/West Linn HS - Aggressive guard that can dribble penetration, and kick, hit a three and had a nice lay-up for a total of 5 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, and 5 steals for Oregon Elite. Is a guard who takes defensive up on her tasks, is incredibly detailed based on her efforts on that front and is a systems player who pays attention to the small things. Hope Hassmann 2021 5’7" PG Oregon Elite/Tahoma HS - The youngest player out of the group, but certainly does not play like it. The lone player from Washington does it all for Oregon Elite, as she is a good sized guard who rebounds well, can hit from the perimeter, and plays on-ball defense with ferocity. Contributed 3 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals for Oregon Elite. [player_tooltip player_id="158484" first="Maya" last="Hoff"] 2021 6’1" PG Oregon Elite/Southridge HS - Tall guard who isn’t afraid of making the extra pass, as she is a utility player who helps fit together the seams for Oregon Elite. Has a solid mid-range game, solid dribbling moves and is always aware of everyone around her. Contributed 3 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists for Oregon Elite. [player_tooltip player_id="158478" first="Natalie" last="Lathrop"] - Natalie has continued to show that she is a dominant rebounder whose length and wingspan helps her immensely. She prefers to finish in the mid-range area in the paint, as this is bolstered by her height. Significant rim protector who changes the results of a lot of shots. Had a 9 point, 9 rebound effort for Oregon Elite. [player_tooltip player_id="158506" first="Ana" last="McClave"] 2021 5’8" SG Oregon Elite/Crescent Valley HS - We all know Ana as the talented scorer who is just as active on the defensive end. She showed her ability to facilitate as she dumped it off to Lathrop twice in the paint, showing off her unselfishness. Ana is persistent on defense as someone who can fill out any role. She contributed 5 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 4 steals in an excellent effort.
