Here is a look at some of the tough young prospects from the game:
Kendall Puryear 6’1 Run GMC: The 2024 forward from Blue Springs South was a force in the paint with a game high 16 points and six rebounds. She posts up with authority and finishes strong with a nice touch. She has very good fundamentals inside. One of the top forwards in the 2024 class.
Regan Williams Regan Williams 6'2" | SF Link Academy | 2024 State MO 6’0 Run GMC: A versatile wing who could impact the game everywhere on the court. She had 10 points and 10 rebounds while running the point at times. She handles the ball and scored on some tough drives. She uses her length well on the defensive end.
Kiyoko Proctor 5’4 MO Phenom: A quick point guard who is a 2025, but she more than held her own with 11 points, three steals and a trio of 3-pointers. She shoots a high arching 3-pointer that brings rain. She’s has speed with nice handles and quick hands on defense.
Abigail Long Abigail Long 5'8" | CG Shawnee Mission East | 2024 State KS 5’8 MO Phenom: A 2024 guard from Shawnee Mission East (KS) who scored a team high 14 points. Much of her damage came from long distance as she drained a trio of 3-pointers. I like how she moves without the ball to get herself open.
Elaina Lobaugh 5’7 Run GMC: A solid 2024 point guard from Barstow who hit a 3-pointer and also scored on a drive where she went high off the backboard. She passes the ball well and put in a good effort on the defensive end.
Jarius Powers 6’0 MO Phenom: A young inside player who did a nice job on the boards with nine rebounds. She also stepped out and hit an elbow jumper.
