We are in unprecedented times due to the pandemic. This obviously includes sports as well, from the professional level and all the way down. The NBA has done an excellent job keeping players safe, while still keeping the games and season going. The Bubble in the NBA has accomplished it’s goal so far. What if Michigan high school basketball had a bubble? What players would we want to make sure to see play in our bubble? Well, here’s a look at players from the class of 2021 that we’d want to make sure are there.

[player_tooltip player_id="177294" first="Caprice" last="Augustine"] (PF, Ypsilanti)
Augustine uses her strength to establish position under the rim. It would be fun to see her battle among the elite in the Michigan Bubble.
[player_tooltip player_id="138300" first="Kenzie" last="Bowers"] (PG, Kent City)
Bowers is the best shooter in school history, and one of the best in the state. She’s got to show off her 3 point shot in our bubble.
[player_tooltip player_id="4142" first="Jillian" last="Brown"] (CG, East Grand Rapids)
If you want versatility, Brown is your player. She can play on or off the ball and has a nice looking jumper from behind the arc.
[player_tooltip player_id="27995" first="Lola" last="Chambers"] (PF, West Bloomfield)
Chambers is a top notch post player in the class of 2021. She’s a notorious hard worker that will regularly score off put backs.
[player_tooltip player_id="138299" first="Kailee" last="Davis"] (PG, Detroit Renaissance)
Davis is a must see prospect and has to be in the Michigan bubble. She has unrivaled quickness and change of direction speed.
[player_tooltip player_id="138309" first="Lillee" last="Gustafson"] (PF, Hartland)
Gustafson has had an outstanding summer and deserves to have all of watch her continued development as a player. She could be a walking double-double this season.
[player_tooltip player_id="4132" first="Damiya" last="Hagemann"] (PG, Detroit Edison)
Hagemann is an obvious choice to be in the bubble. She’s one of the best point guards in the country and can fit a pass in the smallest of spaces.
[player_tooltip player_id="138307" first="Mya" last="Hiram"] (PF, Onsted)
If you want grit and toughness on the glass, than Hiram has to be there. I guarantee that she’ll average double digit rebounds.
[player_tooltip player_id="138310" first="Alex" last="Long"] (SG, Flushing)
Don’t look past Long. She has a nice looking jumper that she can connect with from deep.
[player_tooltip player_id="138301" first="Emaia" last="O’Brien"] (PG, Chandler Park)
Screenshot this: [player_tooltip player_id="138301" first="Emaia" last="O’Brien"] is a Miss Basketball candidate this season. She score score and dish with almost unmatched efficiency.
[player_tooltip player_id="27966" first="Bree" last="Salenbien"] (SF, Lenawee Christian)
Salenbien has to be in the Michigan Bubble. The Gonzaga commit has all the intangibles, and in my opinion, will be an All-Conference player at the next level.
[player_tooltip player_id="138317" first="Madisyn" last="Tillman"] (C, East Kentwood)
Tillman was fantastic this summer and we all want to watch her growth as a player continue. She’s a force in the paint and can play a physical game.
[player_tooltip player_id="138326" first="Shealyn" last="Tripp"] (SF, Michigan Center)
Tripp needs, and more importantly deserves, to be in the bubble. She’s the definition of a team player. Tripp is willing to do all the little things in order for her team to get the W.
[player_tooltip player_id="28017" first="Shannon" last="Wheeler"] (PF, Detroit Renaissance)
Wheeler lets her game do the talking, and it speaks loudly. Her defense and rebounding are among the top in the state.
[player_tooltip player_id="26677" first="Morasha" last="Wiggins"] (SF, Kalamazoo Central)
We all deserve the opportunity to watch Wiggins one more season. She’s an elite defender and gets tough buckets through contact.
