Tanesha Coley 2021 5’9" PF South Medford - The tough nosed forward had two impressive scores, including a rebound which led to a coast to coast as well as an acrobatic reverse lay-up. Tanesha had a hand everywhere, as she makes a lot of smart plays defensive due to her court awareness. Contributed 4 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Aggressive, physical forward likes to step up and makes plays all over the court. [player_tooltip player_id="158520" first="Sierra" last="Logue"] 2022 6’2" C South Medford - Sierra looks to be a lot more aggressive as a rebounder as her length helps her, but it is her effort that puts her over the top. Her wingspan helps her especially on the offensive end as she can score off hook shots and put backs. Had a nice display of 4 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 block. Known previously as a forward that can spread the floor, but has added a much needed tough interior game. [player_tooltip player_id="158487" first="Toni" last="Coleman"] 2021 5’5" PG South Medford - The defensive pest is the fastest player on the team who is known as an elite on-ball defender but has expanded her game within the last few months. She can hit the three from the perimeter with regularity and has the strength to finish lay-ins despite physical defense. Toni had a 12 point, 3 rebound, 2 assist, 2 steal effort for South Medford. [player_tooltip player_id="158483" first="Kaili" last="Chamberlin"] 2021 5’9" SF South Medford - Kaili is a player that doesn’t need any plays run for her, as she is a scoring machine that can do it all over the floor. She is dangerous in the half court setting, where she can hit the three-pointer with ease and has an excellent shot selection. Kaili has a wide assortment of moves on the block, hits you with pump fakes and superb footwork. Turned in a 17 point, 5 rebound, 2 assist, 2 steal effort for South Medford. [player_tooltip player_id="158504" first="Emma" last="Schmerbach"] 2021 5’9" SG South Medford- Emma is a high energy player, who has stringy athletic qualities and plays hard on both ends. She is someone who can help you get second chance opportunities and can score in an efficient manner by taking it straight to the basket at great angles. Excellent on-ball defender who fits right into the South Medford scheme. Contributed 3 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists for South Medford. South Medford is a team effort on defense The Panthers stress a half-court trap, initialized by [player_tooltip player_id="158487" first="Toni" last="Coleman"], who ran 12.4 as a freshman in the 100 meters. Alongside her, expect to see [player_tooltip player_id="158503" first="Bella" last="Stone"] and [player_tooltip player_id="158504" first="Emma" last="Schmerbach"] in their defensive efforts - Bella the do-it all guard and Emma the catalyst with endless energy due in part to her stamina as a cross country runner. Tanesha Coley is the anchor that dominates the paint and makes hustle play all over the floor. [player_tooltip player_id="158520" first="Sierra" last="Logue"] alters a lot of shots with her 6’2” frame and incredible wingspan. Chamberlin is the the gem of the offense Kaili can simply get a basket whenever she pleases and makes it look so easy out there. She does it casually, not stressing to score - it is also bolstered by the fact that South Medford likes to move the ball so much. Chamberlin can score on the wing, post up smaller guards, and can score at odd angles. She is fluid, athletic, and moves so well up and down the court. She is a big reason for the South Medford charge as she makes any combination of five work out there. Year round play yields huge results South Medford is a club that is known to play year round, as the program rings their players around in a familiar setting the entire calendar year. This results in a tightly knit group who have built so much chemistry and know each other like neighbors and that’s because they are. South Medford is a perennial regional program that has a formula success and while it is no secret, it has been difficult to emulate. Hard work, success, and the familiarity of one another.
