End of Trail is hosting its Northwest Shootout in Pocatello, Idaho this week and I had the opportunity to watch two Northwest programs battle it out to the end with the Stars edging out the win by one. The historical Spokane Stars Blue program took on a brand new group (literally put together in a couple weeks) in All Northwest. Both teams feature players from Washington and Idaho. Below are some quick player notes on just some of the prospects. I highly recommend D2, D3, NAIA and Juco schools reviewing the full game film available on Baller TV. Link.

Quick Player Notes:

2021 5’10 SF [player_tooltip player_id="85877" first="MJ" last="Bruno"] (Spokane Stars) was the best all around player on the floor. She brought her usual energy rebounding, defending and tracking down loose balls, but she also scored in the paint, short range jumpers and got to the foul line a lot. The Portland commit continues to impress this Summer.
2021 6’0 C [player_tooltip player_id="144524" first="Gracey" last="Neal"] (Spokane Stars) is a strong body post that rebounds hard and defends with physicality. She also hit an outside shot in this game, which she is capable of knocking down from time to time. She could fit in really well for a GNAC/D2 school.
New Prospect Alert: 2022 6’1 C Shea Kasenga (All Northwest) is a long post player that is still growing into her body. She got multiple deflections on post entry passes and rebounded strong and high on most possessions. In my first time seeing her, she was really solid and also knocked down an outside shot with decent form.
2022 5’10 SF [player_tooltip player_id="144532" first="Jada" last="Walters"] (All Northwest) was the second best player on the court and may have the highest ceiling out of anyone playing in this matchup. She is a strong and bouncy athlete with some ability to break her man down off the bounce and she also hit three plus perimeter shots. A rising Division 1 prospect in Washington’s 2021 class.
2021 5’4 G [player_tooltip player_id="196572" first="Riley" last="Cusack"] (Spokane Stars) is a super quick and high IQ point guard that knows where to be on the floor and gets there consistently whether it is help side D, loose balls or getting into the paint to dish to a teammate. She will be able to help some program at the next level.
2021 5’8 CG [player_tooltip player_id="196574" first="Shawnacee" last="Davis"] (All Northwest) was one of the top three quickest players on the floor. Her next level speed allowed her to turn the corner for one really nice drive and finish over length. She has a shifty handle, but just needs to tighten it up a bit. Her recruitment has gained some steam in the last month playing with All Northwest.
