In the summer, we saw quite a few loaded Oregon club teams - including the Oregon Elite program which showcased a lot of talent from top to bottom in all of their teams. [player_tooltip player_id="204585" first="Keira" last="McNamee"] was a leader for Oregon Elite White with her vision and passing skills, [player_tooltip player_id="204577" first="Addie" last="Reardon"] showed that she is a captain-like figure with Oregon Elite Gold, whereas [player_tooltip player_id="158484" first="Maya" last="Hoff"] was another focal point - for Oregon Elite Navy. [player_tooltip player_id="158503" first="Bella" last="Stone"] and [player_tooltip player_id="158504" first="Emma" last="Schmerbach"] were two cornerstones for a South Medford squad who used their skills masterfully for their bigger picture on the court.
[player_tooltip player_id="204585" first="Keira" last="McNamee"] 2021 5’9" SG Oregon Elite/Wilsonville - Keira is perhaps the textbook definition of a glue player on this list, as it is her overall savviness that facilitates her team but it is her decision making and selflessness that truly makes her a part of the bigger picture. Throughout the summer with Oregon Elite White, McNamee made the extra pass to a teammate in scoring position as opposed to taking it herself. But make no mistake, Keira can score when it is her turn and defensively she is just as sound.
[player_tooltip player_id="204577" first="Addie" last="Reardon"] 2021 5’9" SG Oregon Elite/Lakeridge HS - Playing for an Oregon Elite Gold with a lot of eclectic talent, Reardon brought a lot of consistency defensively where she has the ability to guard multiple spots with her grit and determination. Offensively, she has nifty moves to get inside the paint and can hit the perimeter jumpshot as well. Reardon has a captain like mentality that she brings on the court, as she is a positive leader that engages her peers on both ends of the floor.
[player_tooltip player_id="158503" first="Bella" last="Stone"] 2021 5’6" SG South Medford - Bella is a lightning quick guard who is a key component of the South Medford half-court trap, as her lateral quickness is a huge asset for the Panthers on their defensive merits. She also is an excellent facilitator who thrives in both the transition and half-court setting. She can certainly score when her team needs to, it is just that her value stretches far beyond that as she is the ultimate team player.
[player_tooltip player_id="158504" first="Emma" last="Schmerbach"] 2021 5’11" SF South Medford - Emma is a high energy player who is a sparkplug on defense, partly due to her aptitude as a cross country runner - she plays with an exuberance that is difficult to find anywhere. A versatile offensive player who can score at the mid-range level as well as take it to the basket with fluidity and can finish nicely. She is a nice piece for a South Medford team that stresses defense and one that has a lot of scoring options.
[player_tooltip player_id="158484" first="Maya" last="Hoff"] 2021 6’1" SF Oregon Elite/Southridge HS - Maya at 6’1” is a bit of a match-up nightmare as she towers over smaller players, which she can use to either get a good entry pass into the post with or post up her defense herself. Hoff is exceptional in the transition setting, as she plays with a calm, steady pace but knows how to throw the pass up the court to set up a teammate. She can hit the open three-pointer and was a great addition to a Oregon Elite Navy team front loaded with talent.
