The Class of 2021 seniors have experienced the craziest recruiting summer anybody ever had to deal with, and several current seniors have yet to make a commitment to a college after trying to be seen as often as possible. In a live-stream world, they are still out there waiting to be offered and decisions made.
We have looked a a few of them in different parts of Ohio including the Eastern and Northwest districts. The next couple of days, a look at some 2021s available from the Southwest area of the Buckeye state.
Kenna Gray Kenna Gray 5'7" | CG Tipp City Bethel | 2021 State OH , 5’6 Bethel
Her name pops up again as she still is undecided where she wants to go. Kenna has improved her overall game and can be a difference maker at the next level. Her offense continues to shine from the perimeter, as she has a quick-release shot from out beyond the arc. She moves well to get into position to capitalize on her strengths and can create her own shot. She has good handles and can put the ball on the floor. Can play solid defense and create turnovers leading to points. Her game rises when her competition rises.
Jordan Rogers Jordan Rogers 5'8" | CG Franklin | 2021 State OH , 5’10 Franklin
Will be recruited as a wing at the next level, but she has a complete game and can play inside or out. Can handle the ball well to play a guard spot and has the ability to score from the perimeter. Also can slash to the rim and finish or pull up and hit the 15’ jumper. Not afraid of contact, and can play through it. Like her ability to change directions and take what the defense gives her. Smart basketball IQ. Has all levels looking at her, will make someone a very solid prospect
Ashley Ballard, 5’11 Centerville
Often gets overlooked with all the talent the Elks have, Ashley is a long athletic player who is a strong rebounder. She is the epitome of a team player who is a strong defender with a high IQ and looks to make good passes. She can shoot the ball from anywhere and will do whatever it takes to be successful on the court. She does the dirty work, hustles, gets on the floor and just makes plays. Can guard multiple positions.
Dasia Turner, 6’ Northmont
Another kid who is flying under the radar, but this kid can play. Very strong and physical player in the paint with the ability to rebound and defend, including blocking and altering shots. She is very athletic and a great defender who can create her own shot and is a true match-up nightmare. She is a true sleeper and will make someone a solid player at the next level.
Abby Dickson, 5-5 Valley View
The definition of a pure point guard. She gets overlooked a lot in the stats because she runs the show so well with the Spartans, but make no mistake, this kid has heart and desire and the ability to do what it takes for her team to keep winning. With the loss of leading scorer Aubrey Stupp Aubrey Stupp 6'0" | CG Valley View High School | 2020 OH to PFW, look for Abby to be one of the players to see her scoring increase She can control the tempo of the game, push transition and defend. Don’t let her size fool you, this kid can produce.
