After a distorted summer season, there are several 2021 players who look to continue their development and still seek out opportunities to continue their career at the collegiate level. [player_tooltip player_id="204588" first="Alexa" last="Borter"] is a versatile wing with a solid frame to go with solid fundamentals - perhaps something she picked up from playing on last year’s top squad in the State. [player_tooltip player_id="204583" first="Carly" last="Robb"] is a sharpshooter who brings in defense and rebounding. [player_tooltip player_id="158491" first="Skye" last="Miller"] was a transfer from Alaska last season who hopped onto people’s radars quickly with her adept dribbling skills and range. [player_tooltip player_id="158509" first="Healy" last="Bledsoe"] for Summit is an agile, athletic forward who likes to play on the perimeter offensively. [player_tooltip player_id="204588" first="Alexa" last="Borter"] 2021 5’11" SF Clutch Players/Beaverton HS - Borter was a role player with a deep Beaverton squad that was amongst favorites to win the 6A State Title, but now will surely be a main player on a young, developing squad. At Run 4 The Roses, Alexa showcased her all-around skills as a forward, one who has a solid frame to engage on defense who rebounds well. Capable as a scorer inside and knows how to facilitate and make plays for others. [player_tooltip player_id="204583" first="Carly" last="Robb"] 2021 5’8" SG NW Stars/West Albany HS - Robb played on a NW Stars team front loaded with young talent and was one of the veterans on the team and provided a polished role whenever she was on the floor. She is engaged defensively, particularly as a rebounder and on-ball defender. On offense, she is a shooter who shoots with a lot of accuracy and confidence as she waits along the arc for the ball and lets it go quickly. [player_tooltip player_id="204579" first="Carly" last="Wheeler"] 2021 5’9" SF Oregon Elite/Sheldon HS - Carly has been somewhat of a hidden gem at Sheldon HS, playing under Division 1 talent but this upcoming season the throne is all hers. A seasoned forward that is incredibly savvy in the low post, Wheeler is versatile on the defensive end as she is disciplined to defend the paint and quick enough to keep up with guards. Wheeler can also hit the three-pointer and her confidence increases after she hits one. [player_tooltip player_id="158491" first="Skye" last="Miller"] 2021 5’10" SG Oregon Triple/McKay HS - Skye is a big combo guard for McKay HS that played for an Triple Triple team that focused on defense and three-pointers, which happen to be two things in her arsenal. Skye has a tight handle and some shiftiness in her game, which she uses to create her own shot as well as defer to others. Rebounds well and knows how to battle in the paint with her frame. Sneaky athleticness and is a competitor on both ends. [player_tooltip player_id="158509" first="Healy" last="Bledsoe"] 2021 5’11" PF 3 Peaks/Summit HS - Healy is an athletic forward who is an incredible defender based on her awareness and wingspan alone as she is constantly stifling others in the paint. Bledsoe scores well in the paint but is also making gains as a face-up player alongside the perimeter who can knock down the open jumper and make moves towards the basket. Also a lacrosse star for Summit HS who has the ability to play at the next level.
