Savannah Wilson-6’2
Wilson has gone from a decoy when I first saw her to adding mobility as well agility over the years and watching her rebound and throw the outlet on the money has always been nice but the fact that she is not only rebounding on both ends of the court, she’s also running the floor and that mobility I just mentioned comes in handy because it helps her on the defensive end as well as the offensive end because with her hands and footwork, all she needed was to complete the finish and she’s doing that with regularity, after contact. She’s strong and powerful on based on her growth, on the court, I’m expecting her rising to the occasion and adding even more to her game
Khady Samb-6’1
Samb would be in the running for Most Improved Player if I gave out an award and a lot of it has to do with confidence. She stands over the magic number of 6’0, she’s athletic, she’s long and she can run the floor after she powerfully rebounds on the defensive end yet she showed that same power going after the offensive boards and that desire and “not being outworked” mindset told me a lot but what told me even more was seeing her handle the ball in the open court, yes she has definitely been working and not only did she handle it, she attacked with authority and had several and one opportunities
Aaliyah Macias-5’3
Macias has always played within herself and picked her opportunities, either on her Shooting Starz club team or her Heights HS squad yet when you understand how to get yours in the flow of things, that’s big but when you find other ways to contribute, that’s huge and either watching her diving on the floor for loose balls or tying the ball up, she just has a knack for being in the right place at the right time yet what I have noticed is that she understands that she can score and her long ball shooting, especially in last seasons playoff run, played a big part in her teams success so seeing her create her shot and take defenders off the dribble and finishing strong, yes with contact or creating her shot in traffic and hitting the midrange tells me she has been working on it. Oh yeah, the long ball is still there and it’s consistent
