The HYPE Lady Hoopers 17u squad will be competing in the Run 4 The Roses Classic. They will bring a talented roster that college coaches will want to see over the weekend. Here is a look at their roster:
[player_tooltip player_id="138353" first="Precious" last="Fields"] (2021, SG, Detroit Cass Tech)
Fields is a must see prospect. She is, in my opinion, one of the top perimeter defenders in the state. Fields will have an impact in some way, in every game.
Jaylah Franklin (2022, F/C, Wayne Memorial)
Franklin is a true post player that is at her best with her back to the basket. She initiates contact looking to box out on the shot. Franklin has a relentless demeanor when crashing the boards.
[player_tooltip player_id="138382" first="Audrianna" last="Hill"] (2021, SG, Detroit Renaissance)
Hill will be fun to watch at the Run 4 The Roses. In Detroit Renaissance style, she knows how to play and defend every square inch of the court. Hill is an energy player that can spark her entire team.
[player_tooltip player_id="147755" first="Raigan" last="Lawrence"] (2022, CG, Avondale)
Lawrence brings skill and versatility to the backcourt. She can play on or off the ball, whatever her team needs at a given moment. Lawrence is a solid ball handler that keeps turnovers to a minimum.
Maliyah Martin (2022, F, Detroit Cass Tech)
Martin is a rising prospect out of Detroit. She is a versatile forward that can play inside-out or outside-in. This is very valuable on an already strong defensive roster.
Jakyra McCarty (2021, PF, Detroit King)
McCarty is one of the better post prospects in Detroit. She’s a long and vertical athlete that can protect the rim. McCarty is also very active on the glass.
[player_tooltip player_id="138410" first="Ndidiamaka" last="Ndukwe"] (2021, SF, Summit Academy)
Ndukwe is a big time player from a smaller school. She has length, athleticism, and ball skills. Ndukwe can attack the hoop from the wing off the dribble.
[player_tooltip player_id="138366" first="India" last="Respress"] (2021, G/F, Chandler Park)
Respress has a large toolbox full of skills. She does a lot of things well, so adds a lot to a roster. Respress is a definite plus on the defensive end.
Avery Tolstyka (2021, CG, Northville)
Tolstyka adds a dangerous shooter to the mix. Defenses will have to respect her jumper this weekend. Tolstyka also provides ball handling and versatility to the backcourt.
