Mya Williams-5’9 SG/SF (Waxahachie HS) DFW Elite 17U Select
Willaims is one of those elementary school players I talked about in the last article who I caught with DFW Elite and even at a young age, I saw what was in store. Williams attacks powerfully and finishes after contact but she also can create her shot under pressure and knock down the mid to long-range. On the flip, she defends and rebounds well plus can handle the ball
Weade Adelke-5’11 SF/PF (Vista Ridge HS) Austin Elite RFW
Adelke is a shade under “the magic number’ which is 6’0 yet she plays many shades over it and is also one of the most improved players I’ve seen from when they started high school as freshmen until now. She’s a fierce rebounder, battles for everything and finishes strongly but she also is a good defender, inside the paint or outside of it
Callie Cooper-5’8 PG/SG (Richardson HS) Lady Jets Randle Adidas
Cooper has left me “big-eyed” for a number of reasons because she’s an explosive scorer either showing the catch and shoot jumper from mid to long-range or taking defenders at will to the basket. She creates her shot well under pressure, she handles the ball and sees the floor but those passes through traffic as well as her desire on defense just kept me watching
Arieona Rosborough-5’8 PG/SG (Southwest Christian School) Pro Skills 17U National
Rosborough has an uncontainable jumper and she gets it off quickly and accurately but that’s just a dash of what she brings to the table which includes “dashing to the basket” from the wings. Trying to guard her in the open court can create an issue for defenders because she’s fluid with the ball and under control, yet her body control has her finishing acrobatically or just pulling up for the jumper
Eryka Patton-5’11 SG/SF (Lewisville HS) Texas Lone Star Blue 17U 3SSB
Patton probably isn’t related to General George S but she commanded attention on the court because of her athleticism and energy, she played the passing lane to a tee while defending baseline to baseline and coming and creating turnovers. She also attacks the basket strong and does a good job rebounding on both ends of the court
Ravyn Ellis-5’9 SG (Bellaire HS) Houston Dream Elite
Ellis is also one of the most improved players since the start of high school until now and watching her play “around the world” in games all year as well as a little “HORSE” her ability to put the ball in the basket a variety of ways ahs been exceptional but on top of that, she plays within herself, doesn’t force anything and can also get hers in the flow
