Jade Williams Jade Williams 5'8" | CG Huffman | 2024 State TX -5’8 (Huffman HS) Cy Fair Elite Bush 15U
Williams caught my eye a few years ago and showed me enough to make my Tip Sheet as a 5th or 6th grader and I’ve watched her progression closely since then and her upside is what really gets me. She creates her shot under pressure, has a nice pull-up jumper already, and is showing she can explode off the dribble to the basket and finish after contact. Her rebounding is just as impressive as she battles and is outrebounding taller players but her desire is second to none, who knows what’s coming next
Victoria Barrera Victoria Barrera 5'9" | CG Amarillo | 2024 State TX -5’9 (Amarillo HS) Amarillo Lady Heat
Barrera was one of the many surprises I caught at the Duel States Girls Combine and her diving on the floor as well as playing the passing lane certainly were a couple of things that stood out initially however I kept watching and she kept showing that she ran the floor after rebounds and finished strongly when she attacked but she also created her shot under pressure, the shot is fluid and consistent and she showed range but her entry passes as well as seeing the floor definitely stood out
Ashna Tambe Ashna Tambe 5'7" | CG Hockaday | 2024 State TX -5’6 (Hockaday HS) Texas Elite Maroon Leverton
Tambe’s club coach sent the email and yes he has some players and Tambe is definitely one of them. I love point guards that can control the tempo and play with poise no matter what and I love guards that can flat out shoot it, create their shot under pressure as well as take defenders off the dribble and I also love players that want the ball in crunch time and can put their teams on their back, all of this describes Tambe
Tatyanna Bailey Tatyanna Bailey 5'8" | CG Hendrickson | 2024 State TX -5’8 (Hendrickson HS) Austin Elite
Bailey was one of the standouts at the All Eyez On Me Individual Showcase and after finding out she was a class of 2024, she stood out even more. Her frame, her athleticism, her skill set, were all impressive ad her scoring ability, she did a good job of rebounding and making putbacks look easy, and then she took defenders from the left and right finishing with either hand. The next day, at the TJ Showcase, the mid to long-range was clicking as well as her seeing the floor
Taylor Jones Taylor Jones 5'5" | CG Oak Ridge | 2024 State TX -5’5 (Oak Ridge HS) Rice Legacy
Jones put on one of the best shooting exhibitions I’ve seen from any 2024 this season at Bigfoot Kingwood Classic, if you can play I will see you, and although she had already made a Tip Sheet a few months earlier at a Pass Tha Ball event showing she could pass the ball, pun intended, her shooting the mid to long-range was just something to see, she created off the dribble and set defenders up nicely, she showed she could “catch and shoot” while being tightly guarded, expect her to keep climbing the ladder
Asia Waddell Asia Waddell 5'11" | CG Grand Oaks | 2024 State TX -5’8 (Grand Oaks HS) Texas Flight
Waddell has been progressing every season since I started watching her and let me use this word again, poise is what definitely grabs at me because no matter what the situation is, she plays through it and understands how to both run a team and score when needed and her ability to handle the ball under pressure is a big reason why as she sees the floor and makes the right passes yet she can also attack and finish with contact as well as shoot the mid to long-range
