Ma’Riya Vincent Ma’Riya Vincent 6'0" | SF Cy Springs | 2024 State TX – 5’10 SF (Jersey Village HS) Texas Flight
Vincent has the ability and upside to continue to climb upwards, let me start with she’s long and athletic, once again, that’s the base and she’s hard to handle one on one in halfcourt because she has a devastating first step that enables her to get to the rim, elevate over defenders and finish with contact and in the open court you can almost forget about it because if her strides and ease at going by whoever is on her but that elevation also helps because she can knock down the midrange consistently
Kendall Sneed Kendall Sneed 5'7" | CG Hardin Jefferson | 2024 State TX -5’7 CG (Hardin Jefferson HS) Cy Fair Elite 16U EYBL
Sneed had a breakout season playing with the big girls and one thing I always say, it’s not what you do, it’s who you do it against and I was interested to see how she would perform, I knew she was poised and skilled but could she handle the older and stronger players punishment and after that first tournament, all bets were off because, by the time the season was halfway over, she was doing the punishing with the solid mid to long-range game as well as taking defenders to the rim and doing a good -job defending herself
Heather Baymon Heather Baymon 5'6" | PG Langham Creek | 2024 State TX -5’6 PG (Langham Creek HS) Texas Adidas D’Addieco
Baymon made my Tip Sheet the first time I saw her and I was overly impressed with her speed while handling the ball as well as her defense so if you have control of the ball going as fast as she showed, that too is a base but watching her make steals and layups combined with jumpers has been the norm however she has turned to one of the top pull-up jump shooters I’ve seen in the state, I’m talking full speed, stop and pop on a dime and trust me, she’s going to be hard to handle quickly
Madison McKinnon Madison McKinnon 5'8" | PG Fredricksburg | 2024 State TX -5’7 PG (Fredricksburg HS) San Antonio Lady Hoops McKinnon
McKinnon was playing with the 8th-grade team when she was in the 6th grade when I initially caught her and let me drop that word again, poise told me all I needed to know. She handled the ball under pressure, she made the right passes to the right players so I was sold back then. Fast forward to now, she is more than just a prototype PG that can score, she can take over games with the drop of the dime and that’s by either scoring or dropping dimes because the passes are crisp and on the money
Raniyah Lewis Raniyah Lewis 5'8" | CG Conroe | 2024 State TX -5’8 CG (Oak Ridge HS) Skyrise Elite
Lewis is what I consider an “offensive machine” because of her power attacking the rim and her mindset of not being stopped. She goes hard on both ends, her defense is more than solid because she wears opponents down with her pressure, yet she does the same thing to whoever is guarding her but I said all of that years ago, yes she was that good and watching her dropping threes from everywhere, sometimes falling down after contact, she may set a record for four-point plays
