This class of Seniors stood out during their Junior seasons. These players have a high skill set that can be very valuable to college teams. They can play at the collegiate level and all have worked very hard to get to the level they are at today. These players are part of the Central Coast Section Division 2 Class of 2021. Lydian Li- 2021, 5’6”, PG & SG, #23, Lynbrook High School(San Jose, CA) Lydian Li is the ultimate player on her Lynbrook High School team. Li will always be one of the fastest players on the court. Not only that, she will always be one of the most calm and collected players on the court. Her athleticism shows immensely when she plays, and it definitely shows during her ball handling. Her moves to the basket are always done so smoothly. Her quickness benefits her greatly on the court, and she is able to make good decisions on the move. Lydian averaged 16.1 PPG, and scored a grand total of 434 points during her Junior 2019-2020 season. Lydian also had a 39% fieldgoal percentage, a 33% three point percentage and made 58 in total, and a 73% fieldgoal percentage and made a total of 60 freethrows. Li also averaged 5.7 RPG, and 3.2 SPG. Lydian Li was the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League De Anza Division MVP. I should mention that she has great shooting form, and it can be hard to defend. Lydian should be recognized for her athleticism, and highskillset on the court. Maison Yee- 2021, PG & SG, #12, Lynbrook High School(San Jose, CA) Maison Yee accompanies her other talented teammate Lydian Li at Lynbrook High School. She rarely misses her shots from the three point line, and its insane how accurate her shots always are. She can shoot from deep range, and short range. She is just as quick as her teammate Lydian, and maybe even quicker. Her quickness allows her to defend pretty easily against any opponent at any skillset. Her ball handling abilities are amazing and hard to come by unless you practice a lot on the side. Maison averaged 15.2 PPG, and scored a total of 410 points during the 2019-2020 season. She also averaged 4.0 RPG, 2.2 SPG, and 2.0 APG. She had a 40% fieldgoal percentage, and a 69% freethrow percentage. Her ability to score is phenomenal, and it doesn’t matter who’s she’s going up against. She is even able to score under the basket with ease, not just from beyond the arc. Not only is she a skilled player with a high basketball IQ, she is selfless with the ball. Yee has no problem sharing with her teammates, especially if she knows they have a great opportunity to score. She creates opportunities for her teammates, and for herself as well. [player_tooltip player_id="189634" first="Olivia" last="Williams"]- 2021, 6’1”, SG & C, #21, Archbishop Mitty High School (San Jose, CA) [player_tooltip player_id="189634" first="Olivia" last="Williams"] is a very fast player, one of the fastest out there. She can dribble at full speed from coast to coast. Williams has crazy athletic ability, especially for her position. Olivia has an amazing shooting form, and she can create quick moves to get herself open. Overall, she is a very hard person to guard when she has the ball. Williams’ height makes her a more difficult player to guard. Olivia’s height makes it a bit more difficult player to defend. Williams is a very exciting player to watch, she is very aggressive on the defensive end. Olivia averaged 12.0 PPG, and scored a total of 348 points during her Junior season. That’s a big and outstanding statistic she achieved last season. Williams also averages 4.6 RPG, had a fieldgoal percentage of 44%, a 40% three point percentage making 56 three pointers last season, and finally a 80% freethrow percentage. Olivia is a great player to watch on te court, Her physicality whens hooting under the basket is really fun to see. She goes all out in every gameplay, and is always putting in an all-out effort. Coaches should be observing Olivia’s talent. Sydney Bourland- 2021, 5’10”, SF & PF, #15, Archbishop Mitty High School (San Jose, CA) Sydney Bourland is the star player of Archbishop Mitty High School. Bourland is known to hustle on every single play she is involved in. She is one of the taller players on the court, and this gives her a big advantage when rebounding the ball. She gets a lot of offensive rebounds and always puts the ball in the basket. Her long wingspan is very useful for rebounding, and helps improve her defensive ability. Bourland averages 9.0 PPG, and scored a total of 261 points during her Junior season. Sydney also had a 54% fieldgoal percentage, and she also had a 61% free throw percentage. She is always giving it her all on the fast break, and is always going full speed. She makes quick decisions on the move, and she has quick ball handling skills. Bourland is also able to score on a defender very easily, she has a knack for it. Not only are her defensive and dribbling abilities are good, but her shooting form is also outstanding. She has a great pull up jumper, and her form is phenomenal. She definitely practices on the side. Overall, this is a player you don’t want to miss out on. She hustles during every play, and has a lot of skill that can potentially be very useful for a college team.
