<p class="p1"><span class="s1">These guards in the class of 2021 have a lot to offer colleges next season.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>Here are some that are still uncommitted.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><b>[player_tooltip player_id="208366" first="Averie" last="DiBenedetto"] | Independence</b></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">If there were an announcer at all of DiBenedetto’s games, he would be saying on repeat, “Averie with another steal!”<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>This guard knows how to grab the ball from her opponents and quickly turn those into fast break points moving the other direction.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>Her vision of the court is exceptional on offense and defense.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>When it comes to scoring, she can do so from all areas of the court including from behind the three point line.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She makes great decisions, too, regarding when to show off her shot, change up speeds and make moves with the ball, or find an open teammate to get an assist.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She positions the ball well moving towards her teammates in a way where she protects the possession and limits turnovers.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><b>[player_tooltip player_id="206401" first="Josie" last="Hester"] | Langtree Charter Academy</b></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Hester is a scoring machine.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>Her ability to shoot from behind the arc in all areas of the court is remarkable, and her quick release makes it very difficult to defend.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She can drive the ball inside using various handling moves to get by her opponents.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She knows how to move into the gaps on defense to receive a pass and score.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She jumps into passing lanes, too, grabbing steals to push them up the other end of the court keeping her eyes peeled the whole way for open teammates making a cut to the basket.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She has great height as well making it easy for her to follow shots and grab rebounds.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><b>Neely Gracy Tye | Charlotte Latin</b></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Tye is a dynamic guard that can score from all levels on the court.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She can make some decisive moves to create space between her and her defender in order to score.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She shows no fear when going up against contact when scoring near the basket.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She can also shoot from behind the arc, and each time she does, it’s with amazing confidence knowing that it will go through the hoop.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She does an excellent job seeing the floor knowing when to show off her shot or blow by a defender that may be trying to close out on her.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>Tye finds her open teammates as well assisting them with their scores.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><b>[player_tooltip player_id="217523" first="Leah" last="Barringer"] | Zebulon B. Vance</b></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Barringer is an athlete who can cause problems on both ends of the court.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She dives on the floor for loose balls, and she jumps into passing lanes grabbing steals from her opponents.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She is speedy with the ball and uses moves like jab steps and hesitation moves to blow by her defenders.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She makes shots from all over the court like from behind the three point line to floaters down the middle of the lane to jump stops that turn into two points for her.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She isn’t only a scorer, though, as she finds her open teammates to get them involved.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>When she doesn’t have the ball, she is constantly moving looking for the open areas of the court where she can contribute. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><b>[player_tooltip player_id="217522" first="Mya" last="Olmeda"] | Charlotte Christian</b></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Olmeda has been impressive this summer taking over handling the ball and being decisive with her moves.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She has a nice shot from downtown, and she knows how to drive the ball weaving in and out of her opponents.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>Her quickness is an asset on defense as well because she will keep her opponent in front of her and use every advantage to pick the pocket of a guard trying to get by her.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She pushes the ball up the court well looking for her open teammates or taking it all the way to the hoop herself.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>When she isn’t handling the ball, she is constantly looking around the court and moving to the open areas where she may be able to contribute a shot or get the ball to her teammates.</span></p>
