These guards from South Carolina have a lot to offer, and the good news for colleges is that they are still available.

[player_tooltip player_id="124076" first="Trinity" last="Adams"] | South Pointe

Adams is a versatile player who has some good length that she certainly knows how to use. She can dribble with speed pushing the ball up the court, and she uses that quickness to prevent other teams from getting easy transition points. Her length partnered with her speed translates to steals that she is grabbing on defense jumping into passing lanes against opponents. She has great vision of the court, too, knowing exactly where to find her open teammates or find the gaps in the defense to drive the ball or look for a pass of her own. She has a great ability of moving her body exactly as she needs to make a shot even through contact creating old fashioned three point plays for herself.

[player_tooltip player_id="171739" first="Maleah" last="Williams"] | Barnwell

Williams is a guard who seems to be in the right spot at the right time. She can create plays by grabbing steals and pushing the ball up the court. On fast breaks, she knows how to split the defense making sure there is always a successful bucket whether she gets the assist or the two points herself. If she is taking the ball all the way herself, she shows no fear of contact. She makes cuts on offense to the open areas to show off her shot including ones behind the arc. When handling the ball, she knows how to control the tempo of the game.

[player_tooltip player_id="177708" first="Mariah" last="Mitchem"] | Ridge View HS

Mitchem’s IQ is on display each time she steps on the court. As a ball handler, she shows patience knowing when to make her moves. She also knows exactly how to move her body in order to make a cut to the basket or a successful pass to a teammate. She can drive against any kind of contact and somehow still makes the points for old fashioned three point plays. She can push the ball up the court with her ball handling or by finding an open teammate breaking away for some easy transition points. Scoring lay ups isn’t the only way that she can score, though, as her jump shot is consistently on display from all over the court. She can track a ball down by grabbing a steal or following a shot to grab a rebound.

[player_tooltip player_id="124077" first="Trinity" last="Franklin"] | Greenville

Franklin does an excellent job of repositioning her body to find her teammates for a pass. She knows exactly where to place the ball, especially for her post player teammates. She isn’t a pass only guard, though, as she can certainly take the ball all the way to the hoop herself. Her ability to drive and make amazing passes makes her hard to defend as she creates separation between her and her defender to show off her shot including ones from behind the three point line. On defense, she can create her own offensive plays by grabbing the ball and pushing it up the other end of the court.
