With the start of high school season on a delay, it got me thinking. What 1-on-1 Matchups do I really want to see this season? Well, here are a few

[player_tooltip player_id="138299" first="Kailee" last="Davis"] (2021, PG, Detroit Renaissance)
vs
[player_tooltip player_id="138301" first="Emaia" last="O’Brien"] (2021, PG, Chandler Park)
These are 2 of the most explosive perimeter payers in the state. Davis defends the entire court and puts so much pressure on opposing guards. Meanwhile, O’Brien is a firecracker on offense. Honestly, she could drop 30 on any given night.
[player_tooltip player_id="26677" first="Morasha" last="Wiggins"] (SF, Kalamazoo Central)
vs.
Breanne Salenbien (2021, SF, Lenawee Christian)
The North Carolina commit squaring off with the Gonzaga commit would be a battle for the ages. Wiggins is a beast on D. She plays a tough and physical style that beats down her opponent. Salenbien is a long and smooth athlete that has elite positional length and ball skills. I’d love to see who’d come out on top.
[player_tooltip player_id="175937" first="Krystina" last="Kasson"] (2021, C, Kalamazoo Hackett)
vs.
[player_tooltip player_id="138351" first="Megan" last="Crow"] (2021, C, Gladstone)
Kasson is so tough in the paint, excelling in a physical game. She can move her opponents as she pleases in the paint. Crow would be a great matchup for Kasson. Crow is every bit of 6-4, with the length that goes with it. She’s a star on the defensive end, and it’d be interesting to watch Kasson work against her offensively.
[player_tooltip player_id="177295" first="Amil" last="Hatcher"] (2021, PF, Detroit Cody)
vs.
[player_tooltip player_id="138395" first="Kerrington" last="Gordon"] (2021, PF, Lincoln Park)
Hatcher is one of the top post prospects in the PSL. She’s a 2 way player that could make a lot of noise this coming season. Gordon would be a great matchup. She’s plays facing the rim and is a solid athlete and finisher. I’d like to see these up and comers duke it out.
[player_tooltip player_id="138309" first="Lillee" last="Gustafson"] (2021, PF, Hartland)
vs.
[player_tooltip player_id="177294" first="Caprice" last="Augustine"] (2021, PF, Ypsilanti)
Gustafson is incredibly versatile. She’s athletic and can stretch the floor. Augustine is a powerful 4 that uses strong legs to gain position in the paint. It’d be fun to see which player could force their style of play and effectively use their advantages on the other.
