One tough quarter kept Mount Ayr from really getting after Logan-Magnolia last year in regionals, bowing out with 19 wins. Nine players, including starters MaKayla Jones, Channler Henle and [player_tooltip player_id="131182" first="Rachel" last="Sobotka"] are back to lead the Raiders this year. Henle sank 26 three-pointers last year, developing into a top deep threat. She also had 113 rebounds with Sobotka adding 155 and Alexa Anderson 101 off the bench.

Mount Pleasant ended last year with a 4-1 mark to finish at 8-15 overall. The Panthers graduated leading scorer Lydia Stewart, but have Andrea Lopreato and others back looking for more this winter. Karsyn Lamm, Kenna Lamm, Avery Sutter, Tristian Shull, Emma Huckabone, Elli Liechty and Lopreato all started games for the Panthers. Shull also had 28 assists and 47 steals.

A dozen players return for Mount Vernon including starters [player_tooltip player_id="163349" first="McKenzie" last="Rentschler"], Natalie Welch, Liz Dougherty and Bethany Richardson. Dougherty led the team with 124 rebounds, adding 25 steals and 23 assists. Rentschler hit a team-high 51 three-pointers, hoisting up nearly half of Mount Vernon’s 338 attempts from deep.

Kinzee Eggers is back to lead Murray after posting eight points and nearly eight rebounds a night. She is joined by 12 other players who saw the varsity court including fellow starters Jayda Chew, Teryn Shields, Megan Keller and Hannah Paschke. Keller also had 93 rebounds, Shields 69 with 44 assists and 43 steals. Chew added 56 assists and 58 steals.
