The class of 2021 is very talented, and therefore, very hard to rank. There are some players that for a variety of reasons, either should be ranked higher or just because of class depth, outperform their number. Let’s look at some of these athletes.

[player_tooltip player_id="175812" first="Jenna" last="Caterino"] (SG, Greenville)
Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #137
Caterino is severely underrated. She’s a scorer at heart, and plays an aggressive but intelligent offensive game. Lakeland University is getting a 4 year contributor.
[player_tooltip player_id="27995" first="Lola" last="Chambers"] (PF, West Bloomfield)
Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking:#29
Chambers is a top 20 post player. She moves so well in the paint and plays good team defense in the post. Chambers can match up with any power forward in the state.
[player_tooltip player_id="28042" first="Brooklyn" last="Robak"] (SG, Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes)
Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #47
Good luck finding a weakness in Robak’s game. She has one of the highest basketball IQ’s in the state, hands down. She has the game of a top 30 prospect.
[player_tooltip player_id="138305" first="N’Kyesha" last="Sanders"] (PG, Chandler Park)
Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #21
Sanders, I think, just gets caught up in the depth of the class. In most states, she’s a top 10-15 talent. Sanders is super quick on both ends and tough for the average defender to stay in front of.
[player_tooltip player_id="27971" first="Ella" last="Stemmer"] (SG, Saline)
Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #17
Stemmer is another player whose ranking, because of depth, doesn’t do her justice. She’s a top 10 or so talent hiding out at 17. Stemmer may have been the state’s postseason MOP before the covid shutdown.
[player_tooltip player_id="138339" first="Taylor" last="Watkins-Johnson"] (PG, Westland John Glenn)
Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #60
I’m telling anyone that will listen, watch out for Watkins-Johnson this season. She’s an intelligent and athletic lead guard. Watkins-Johnson can create for her teammates with consistency.
[player_tooltip player_id="28005" first="Monica" last="Williams"] (CG, Detroit King)
Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #87
Williams is definitely a prospect to keep your eyes on. I think she’ll prove to be one of the top players in the PSL this season. She can both handle and score at a high level.
