2024 Rankings: Welcome to the complete Freshmen 50

On Sunday we introduced you to the top 10 players in the first ranking of the Prep Girls Hoops Class of 2024. On Monday we gave you the rundown on the rest of the top 20. We are now happy to reveal every player who made it to the Freshmen 50. It’s a diverse group from across the state. We put a ton of work into figuring out who belongs in this rarified company but, inevitably, folks will immediately start asking about a particular player or player who isn’t on the list. That’s understandable.

Every year we miss out on a couple of kids in the first ranking of a class, but this being 2020 there are more potential candidates missing from the list than normal. That’s because many players elected to sit out the summer season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. That was a personal family decision and we respect that completely. We didn’t think it was fair, however, to include kids in the rankings who did not play during the prime evaluation season. We do know, however, that there are some very nice prospects who will likely make their way onto the list in short order the next time around, players such as Jessika Lofstrom of Grand Rapids, Kylan Gerads of Albany, Helen Ben of Osseo and Britta DeMar of Elk River. Big Vanessa Smith of Tayler Hill Elite is another name we have been hearing.

Rest assured they will be evaluated as soon as possible and slotted into future versions of the Prep Girls Hoops Class of 2024 rankings. In the meantime, here is version 1.0 of the 2024 Freshmen 50.
