The city of Detroit has always been a basketball hub in the state of Michigan. The Grand Rapids area is establishing itself as another hotbed for basketball talent. What if we made a team out of 2021's from Kent County, where Grand Rapids is located, and put them up against a Detroit team of 2021's. How would it look? Well, here you go..... Please comment and tell us what you think of the teams and how it may play out!!!!!
KENT COUNTY

STARTERS
[player_tooltip player_id="138300" first="Kenzie" last="Bowers"] (PG, Kent City) Bowers is a premier lead guard and shooter in the state. [player_tooltip player_id="4142" first="Jillian" last="Brown"] (2021, CG, East Grand Rapids) Brown is an elite perimeter talent that could make a push for Miss Basketball this season. [player_tooltip player_id="138304" first="Kaliese" last="Christopher"] (SF, East Kentwood) Christopher is an athletic forward that is dangerous in the open floor. [player_tooltip player_id="138303" first="Kaybriana" last="Hallman"] (PF, East Kentwood) Hallman is a big time player and a force on both ends of the floor. [player_tooltip player_id="138317" first="Madisyn" last="Tillman"] (C, East Kentwood) Tillman had a big summer and fall and has established herself as a top center in Michigan whose strength may be unmatched.
RESERVES
[player_tooltip player_id="138328" first="Alexis" last="McCully"] (PG, East Kentwood) McCully is severely under ranked as a floor general. She can play at any pace. [player_tooltip player_id="175826" first="Katie" last="Tate"] (2021, PG, Grand Rapids Catholic Central) Tate is a bona fide leader and a true old fashioned floor leader. [player_tooltip player_id="175968" first="Maddie" last="Smith"] (SG, Grand Rapids West Catholic) Smith is a smart and efficient shooter that must be accounted for. [player_tooltip player_id="175820" first="Mikayla" last="Rutgers"] (2021, PF, East Grand Rapids) Rutgers is a talented and bouncy forward that is willing to battle on the glass. [player_tooltip player_id="138344" first="Evie" last="Doezema"] (2021, C, Grand Rapids Christian) Doezema will be a double-double threat every single game this season. [player_tooltip player_id="175813" first="Zoe" last="Lipke"] (2021, PG, Forest Hills Central) Lipke is a well rounded player that can handle, pass, and score when and if needed. [player_tooltip player_id="221757" first="Ashley" last="Richmond"] (2021, PG, Grand Rapids West Catholic) Watch out for Richmond this year. Her handles are on point and she will be a force with the ball. [player_tooltip player_id="175815" first="Morgan" last="Robertson"] (PG, Forest Hills Northern) Robertson must be seen by small college coaches. She shouldn’t be lost in the wealth of talent in the area. [player_tooltip player_id="175823" first="Crysta" last="Daetwiler"] (SF, Grand Rapids West Catholic) Daetwiler has next level skills coming off the wing.
DETROIT

STARTERS
[player_tooltip player_id="4132" first="Damiya" last="Hagemann"] (2021, PG, Detroit Edison) Hagemann is one of the best point guards in the country.....hands down. [player_tooltip player_id="138299" first="Kailee" last="Davis"] (2021, PG, Detroit Renaissance) Davis is a menace on both ends of the floor, especially when she creates havoc on D. [player_tooltip player_id="27997" first="Nika" last="Dorsey"] (2021, SG, Detroit Renaissance) Dorsey is an athletic wing and a tough 2 way player. [player_tooltip player_id="28017" first="Shannon" last="Wheeler"] (2021, PF, Detroit Renaissance) Wheeler somehow manages to sneak under the radar, but the fact is, she has one of the best all around games in Michigan. [player_tooltip player_id="28023" first="Keyonna" last="Johnson"] (2021, PF, Detroit Cass Tech) Johnson is a long and vertical post player that does all the little things.
RESERVES
[player_tooltip player_id="28015" first="Mikyah" last="Finley"] (2021, SG, Detroit Renaissance) Finley is a D1 talent and in Detroit Renaissance style, an elite full court defender. [player_tooltip player_id="138318" first="Desiree" last="Jackson"] (2021, SG, Detroit Cass Tech) Jackson is a natural born scorer at heart. She can get buckets from basically anywhere on the floor. [player_tooltip player_id="28005" first="Monica" last="Williams"] (2021, CG, Detroit King) Williams is an under rated downhill player that is at her best in attack mode. [player_tooltip player_id="138364" first="Jakayra" last="McCarty"] (2021, PF, Detroit King) McCarty is a long 4 that can influence the game at both ends. [player_tooltip player_id="177295" first="Amil" last="Hatcher"] (2021, PF, Detroit Cody) Hatcher is a rising prospect that will be one of the top post players in the PSL. [player_tooltip player_id="138353" first="Precious" last="Fields"] (2021, SG, Detroit Cass Tech) Fields is the type of player that every coach wants one of on their roster. She simply wins hustle points. [player_tooltip player_id="138382" first="Audrianna" last="Hill"] (2021, SG, Detroit Renaissance) Hill better not be overlooked by her opponents this year. She has a nice looking jumper and a high upside as a player. [player_tooltip player_id="28054" first="Marche" last="Borden"] (2021, CG, Detroit King) Borden is another talented perimeter athlete out of Detroit. She’s quick and skilled with the ball. [player_tooltip player_id="174976" first="Eshwanda" last="Smith"] (2021, CG. Detroit Denby) Smith really made some noise last year as a rising prospect and looks to continue that trend this season. Dayionna Johnson (2021, PG, Detroit Collegiate Prep - Northwestern) Johnson is an electric lead guard that can explode at any time. She has nice start-stop speed and good handles.
