Florida Girls High School Basketball Transfer News – Updated Part 2 By Michael Wholey 11/17/20 5:00 PM EST Earlier this year we reported a number of players across the state that had transferred. As we publish this info, we continue to learn about more transfers. Here are some of the most recent transfers we have learned about to add to the list we previously published. 2024 Gianna Corbitt Gianna Corbitt 6'1" | SF Blanche Ely | 2024 State FL (Blanche Ely / Team Knight) Corbitt is Prep Girls Hoops Florida # 1 rated prospect in the 2024 class. After playing a major role for National Powerhouse Miami Country Day as an 8^th grader on varsity, she has transferred to Blanche Ely where she joins a number of her travel ball teammates from Team Knight and program director JR McNabb. The transfer of Corbitt makes an already extremely talented Blanche Ely squad even more dangerous as Corbitt joins University of Miami signee , 2022s and , and arguably two of the most talented 2024s in the state playing alongside each with other with Janessa Kelly suiting up for the Tigers in her Freshman campaign. While Corbitt may be the youngest transfer in this update, we are also seeing a number of unsigned 2021 prospects changing schools in what we would assume would be in attempt to put themselves in the best situation for their Senior season in hopes of having a big Senior campaign and picking up opportunities to play at the next level. 2021 Cheyenne Stubbs Cheyenne Stubbs 5'7" | CG Braden River | 2021 State FL (Braden River / Team Knight) Stubbs joins Team Knight teammate and Florida State signee at Braden River after attending Sarasota the last couple years. Stubbs gives Gordon a talented backcourt mate making up one of the deadliest guard tandems in the state. Stubbs had some break out games for Team Knight this spring/summer showcasing deadly 3 point range, excellent passing ability and impressive play in ball screens. 2021 Jayla Murray Jayla Murray 6'1" | SF Winter Haven | 2021 State FL and Jasmine Peaks Jasmine Peaks 5'6" | CG Winter Haven HS | 2021 State FL (Winter Haven HS) Earlier we had heard Peaks had transferred from Tampa Bay Tech to Winter Haven, it now appears Murray has joined her. The departure of both these players really weakens the perimeter game for Tampa Bay Tech while strengthening the backcourt for Winter Haven. Murray and Peaks combine with gives the Lady Blue Devis a three headed monster that will make it tough to game plan against. 2021 Deborrah Seitu-Redmon Deborrah Seitu-Redmon 5'8" | CG Palm Beach Lakes | 2021 State FL and 2022 Casey Lewis (Palm Beach Lakes / Essence) Seitu-Redmon and Lewis were Benjamin School’s 2^nd and 3^rd leading scorers last year behind Brown signee . Palm Beach Lakes lost quite a bit due to graduation after a 21-10 season, a District Championship and an appearance in the Regional tournament. Seitu-Redmon and Lewis will team up with recent FIU signee giving the Lady Rams potentially three double digit scorers.
