2022
Katelyn Chomko (Just Play Elite) Tomball Memorial HS
Chomko had already shown me she could shoot yet she was unconscious and put on a shooting exhibition from all over the court, mid to long, off the dribble, she was virtually unstoppable for the vast majority of the day plus she played strong defensively applying pressure baseline to baseline
Camille Torrence (Team Spaz)
Torrence reads the floor well and while doing so came up with numerous steals which led to layups, that’s why I stress the importance of playing the passing lane but it helps when you’re long and athletic, she is and she has a nice pull-up jumper
Paula Ruiz (365 Elite Varsity)
Ruiz was solid with her midrange, that caught my secondly, what caught it at first was her size yet watching her step out and hit the shot was nice then when you throw in good hands and footwork, can finish and rebounds, yes I got a great look
Skyler Witt (Just PlayElite) Episcopal HS
I was a “WITTNESS” to Skyler’s shooting all through the club season and watching her create her shot under pressure to take the midrange or just show me a solid “catch and shoot” with accuracy didn’t stop as he did the same thing at the event
Maleyna Ojeda (365 Varsity)
Ojeda is long and athletic, remember that’s the base I look at and when you add she plays the passing lane, that’s also a big plus but she’s active on the court and sees the floor
Giana Vlahakos (Just Play Elite) Memorial HS
Vlahakos is big and mobile, she understands how to use her size in the paint, she finishes with players literally hanging on her yet her rebounding, on both ends and starting the outlet has just entertained me all club season, especially since she runs the floor, on both ends as well. She also can hit the short jumper or attack off the dribble
2023
Ja’Nya Thomas (TNBA) Jersey Village HS
Thomas is speedy and from baseline to baseline, she can handle the ball under control yet she also can see the floor and make the right passes to her teammates
Fia Filoialii (Team Spaz)
Filoalii rebounds well on both ends and not only does she rebound, but she also battles for rebounds. She understands how to use her body in the paint and finishes well, especially after the offensive board yet she also can attack the basket and score
Olivia Walker (Just PLay Elite) Second Baptist HS
Walker just constantly shows she can nail it from the midrange and that is a lost art. She plays within herself and would rather contribute other ways yet she can flat out drop 10-15 footer, especially in the clutch
Mykyla Allen (TNBA) Bellaire HS
Allen is another speedy guard, with the ball, from TNBA, and watching her attack or drop the long ball, she finds ways to put the ball in the basket and that includes playing the passing lane which led to steals and layups
2024
Nicolette Polocheck Nicolette Polocheck 6'0" | PF Memorial | 2024 State TX (Just Play Elite) Memorial HS
Polocheck caught my eye a couple of seasons ago playing up and I haven’t stopped looking which is why I waited for the second game, she missed the first for her high school tryouts yet she came in and made her presence felt immediately, she always does, that’s why I listed her on the 2024 Watchlist so just her sheer power in the paint at this stage is overly impressive but she also can score facing the basket
