Youtube Evals Class of 2022: Part 3 By Michael Wholey 11/5/20 5:00 PM EST In the COVID-19 2020 world we are living in, video and highlight films have become more and more prominent and important. We will be posting evaluations from the videos weekly. In Youtube Evals Class of 2022: Part 3 we take a look at some of the states 2022 prospects. [player_tooltip player_id="220009" first="Amya" last="Patterson"] (Timber Creek HS / DME Travel) Long, athletic wing/forward that can stretch it out to the 3-point line. Versatile in the right system can play 3-5. Finishes well at the rim with her right hand. Can put the ball to the floor 1-2 dribbles to either shoot mid range pull up or get all the way to the rim. If she improves her overall handle and develops her left hand, her offensive game will open up. Video by Ace Sports Films. https://youtu.be/DPvtPkRuLRo [player_tooltip player_id="91583" first="Milahnie" last="Perry"] (Carrollwood Day School / Hoop Dreams Elite) Silky, smooth 5’7 shooting guard with slender build and can drop buckets! She can knock down the 3 from long range and put it to the floor for a 1-2 dribble pull up if the 3 is not open. She is an unselfish player with good court vision and high basketball IQ that finds the open player. She plays hard on both ends of the floor and consistently in the area of the basketball and the first to dive to the floor. She pushes the ball in transition and attacks the rim finishing with both the right and left. She is one of the most improved players I have seen, really taking her game to another level in the last 12 months. It is fun to see her progression and will be good to follow her continued progression over her last two years of high school. https://youtu.be/Qldpp4haJZA [player_tooltip player_id="151169" first="Cerina" last="Rolle"] (Eustis High School / Hoop Dreams Elite) Strong, aggressive, tough right hand dominant 5’9 wing. She attacks the basket going right aggressively and pushes the ball in transition. She isn’t afraid to mix it up and play a little bully ball. Her strength and toughness are two of her most intriguing traits. She competes and plays hard for the entire game and does all the dirty work. https://youtu.be/lf_WDhmrWHo [player_tooltip player_id="220010" first="Elizabeth" last="Schnell"] (Calvary Christian Academy / GT Queens) Schnell is a shooter with deep range and the ability to stretch the defense several feet beyond the 3-point line. She is a versatile player with a high basketball IQ that can play both the 2 and 3 and PG duties if needed. She can create her own shot and if she can’t get all the way to the rim has a nice runner in the lane. She has a strong work ethic and has improved quite a bit over the last 2 years. https://youtu.be/QYJSohbNYyk [player_tooltip player_id="91574" first="Reilly" last="Webb"] (Lakewood HS / Tampa Thunder) Tough, gritty 5’7 guard that pushes the ball aggressively in transition to score at the rim or get her teammates an easy shot. She can handle the ball well with both the left and right hand and has a high basketball IQ and a good passing ability. I like the way she competes on every possession and never gives up on a play consistently being around the basketball if there is a loose ball, going to the boards from the guard position, and chasing down offensive players in transition preventing easy layups. She plays tough and bigger than her size and it is very obvious watching her play she has a strong desire to win. Her biggest offensive strength is a shot fake one dribble pull up. https://youtu.be/uDIcJcETBUg [player_tooltip player_id="219945" first="Kyleigh" last="Welsh"] (Clearwater HS / Tampa Thunder) Inside / out forward who is comfortable playing with her back to basket and can step out to 15 feet. She is very effective on the low block and is able to drop step in both directions finishing with either hand. In position less basketball world in 2020 where every forward and center wants to be a wing or guard, it is refreshing to see a post player who wants to post up and is effective at finishing and controls the paint. Defensively, she is a very effective defensive rebounder and is exceptional at walling up against offensive players trying to post up and effecting their shots without fouling. Video by @UncleDrewProductions https://youtu.be/O68-4sALfiY [player_tooltip player_id="220011" first="Maya" last="Williams"] (St. Thomas Aquinas / Miami Suns) Maya is an aggressive, physical, tough scoring guard and tenacious defender. She has deep 3-point range, ability to score off the bounce and at the rim. She plays unselfish and gives ball up to open teammates, makes the extra pass and does a great job with ball pressure, on ball defense, and getting in passing lanes. Video by @SUTSReport. https://youtu.be/iqk66rOy1zc [player_tooltip player_id="220012" first="Camila" last="Zbynski"] (Colonial High School / Orlando Basketball Club) Slender, lefty guard that has a nice shot fake and can get to the rim. Solid handles. Does a good job with change of speed and change of direction off the dribble. Finishes well at the basket with the left. Like to see her get stronger and show her 3 point range. https://youtu.be/yak7HTV15Qc If you have a highlight film on youtube send to us directly at WholeyPrepHoops@gmail.com or DM on twitter at @WholeyPrepHoops. We are working hard to make the @SUTSReport Youtube channel a main source for college coaches.
