Breakdown:
The Starr Show
Starr is a novel and innovative scorer that gets the job done with high marks - she can score alongside the arc and doesn’t need a lot of dribbles to initiate her move. A lethal rebounder who has the size and ferocity to battle in the paint. She also showed her post skills on the last possession of the game where she had a nice tough score in a low-post situation - for extra credit. Starr is someone who has a lot of different tools in her shed as a forward with lots of versatility on both ends as she is also a defensively engaged player who isn’t afraid to roll up her sleeves and get to work.
[player_tooltip player_id="158525" first="Sage" last="Kramer"]
Sage had an impressive showing as a high motor player who has a lot of creativity when the ball is in her hands. She is big enough to battle on the boards but agile enough to euro-step past a defender. Kramer is the type of player to get a good look at the rim and beat everybody to the rebound - which she did excellently on one possession. She is the type to play three moves before the floor and then back it up with an extra effort. This translated into a 10 points, 5 rebound masterful performance where she made the most out of her touches and created her own opportunities on top of that.
Supporting Cast
Syd Burns was a determined defender and ignited facilitator as always as she finished with a superb 2 point, 4 rebound, 3 assist effort as a spark plug and catalyst. [player_tooltip player_id="158486" first="Cami" last="Fulcher"] had her moments as a distributor and defender that plays with tremendous effort. Kelsie Siegner was the biggest surprise as she had a 9 point, 3 rebound effort off the bench providing as a huge scorer with the ability to post up and sink it from deep. This Oregon Elite Navy bunch is a sharp group who has been battle tested within the 28.5 League and it shows as they have blossomed into a distinctive group whenever they hit the floor together.
