With schools facing quarantine and shutdown every day, it has never been more important for seniors to get as much exposure as possible. With the Available Seniors Spotlight, we will highlight some talented 2021s that have yet to sign.
5-7 CG Makala Torrence Makala Torrence 5'7" | CG Roswell | 2021 State GA – Roswell
Long known as a prolific scorer, Makala Torrence Makala Torrence 5'7" | CG Roswell | 2021 State GA has continued to develop the rest of her game as well. She’s averaging 20.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 4.6 steals through eight games. She is a high-volume shooter from beyond the arc (26-90; 29%) and an efficient scorer inside the circle (29-47; 62%). Torrence scores in a variety of ways. She’s 31-46 (67%) from the foul line, getting to the stripe nearly six times per game. Her scoring ability will make her an attractive option for colleges.
6-0 W T’mya Parker T’mya Parker 6'0" | SF North Clayton | 2021 State GA – North Clayton
One of the most valuable players in Georgia that hasn’t gotten a ton of publicity is T’mya Parker T’mya Parker 6'0" | SF North Clayton | 2021 State GA . I’ve been extremely high on her since last season. She checks off so many boxes. Great size. Great length. Great athlete. Great motor. Versatile. Parker can play 1-5 and is a legitimate D-I prospect in my eyes. She is wreaking havoc again her senior season, pouring in 13.5 points, 11.8 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 8 steals and 2.7 blocks per game.
6-0 F Cynthia Engler – East Paulding
Cynthia Engler has bounced around throughout her high school career but is finally back home at East Paulding where she has the Raiders playing competitive basketball. Engler is an intriguing prospect with her ability to score inside and out. She’s a combo-forward that’s rugged inside but has enough touch to space the floor out to the three-point line. Engler has tools to become a productive college player. Smaller schools will want to track her progress. She’s posting 9.8 points, 8 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 2.8 blocks.
5-5 Faith Ann Foster – Chattooga
Already with an offer from Shorter University in tow, Faith Ann Foster is a spunky sparkplug of a guard. She’s quick with the ball and can handle pressure and weave through traffic. Foster has over 1,000 points in her career and is on track to break the all-time school record for assists held by her brother. The sharp athlete has a nice outside shot and leadership qualities to boot.
5-4 PG Joze Baker – Parkview
It takes a village to win games at a high level. Parkview has done just that this season, racking up a 6-2 start and a Top 10 rankings. One of those members of the village has been Joze Baker, who has provided strong play from the lead guard position. She’s shifty with the ball and can attack defenses off the bounce while still making sure to facilitate. Defensively, Joze is aggressive and likes to apply on-ball pressure. Baker has picked up offers from Highland CC, Rock Valley College and Carver College.
