Prep Girls Hoops made the trip over to Sumter and Wilson Hall on Friday. The Baron Classic consisted of 6 SCISA teams and Prep Girls Hoops was in the gym. Lets take a look at some of the Top Performers on the opening day of the event.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="234318" first="Andi" last="Grae Wingate"] (2021) - Wilson Hall (Sumter) </strong>
Wingate wouldn’t overwhelm you with athleticism when first watching her play. Wingate scored all of her points in the paint with her willingness to score and finish. Wingate finished the opening day with 19 points vs Pinewood Prep. Wingate was highly effective in her shot selection today.

Bennett sits out on the wing for the Lady Cavaliers. Bennett was able to knockdown some mid-range jumpers and convert several shots on the foul line today.

Delaney came up big all night long for the Lady Indians. Delaney almost recorded a triple double today. Delaney scored 16 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and recorded 8 steals. Delaney does her best work around the ball with her constant activity. Delaney is extremely active in the passing lanes. Delaney has her team off to a (5-0) start this season.

<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="234315" first="Jessica" last="Osborne"] (2023) - Pinewood Prep </strong>
Osborne a post player plays with her back to the basket. Osborne moves well around the floor and don’t mind carving out space in the paint. Osborne really excels on the tennis court and soccer field for the Lady Panthers to boot. That would explain why she has great footwork and hands down in the paint.

Vaughn looks to be the future of the Lady Panthers program. Vaughn was able to drop some floaters in the lane today on her way to 15 points. Vaughn has a high arching shot and was able to convert on some three pointers. Vaughn got the ball into the gaps and found the open teammate while kicking it out.
