Game I Need To See In 2021: DEPSA vs. Detroit Renaissance

I’ve sat on this for a long time, but with a shortened season once again on the horizon........I have to put it to ink. This is a game that I MUST see in 2021 - Detroit Renaissance vs. Detroit Edison. DEPSA is a state and national powerhouse program. There are kids entering school this year that weren’t born yet the last time the school didn’t win a state championship. And the talent level hasn’t dropped this season, as the DEPSA program is littered top notch prospects. But here comes Detroit Renaissance. Coach Lawal came in, and the program did an immediate turn around. They have a handful of potential D1 prospects, and they have a distinct style to their game. Renaissance plays defense the entire length of the floor and plays a fluid offense with constant motion and screening. These 2 teams squared off last year on February 1. It proved to be one of the best games of the year, with DEPSA holding on for a 54-52 victory. We need the rematch this year. We need to see 2 of the premier teams in the state square off.
