Love her dribble penetration- outstanding! She can either take the shot herself, or dish it off for her teammates. Makes wise decisions with the ball, and can get to the charity stripe. Has the ability to post up on the block, shoot the mid-range jumpers, beat you going baseline, or hurt opposing teams from 3 point land. She displays patience, and that leadership is shown throughout her games.
Emma Shepherd- SF/PF, 2021, Jonathan Alder: Emma, who’s coming off a stellar season in volleyball, is now working her magic on the basketball court! Very impressed by her leadership. Strong athlete, who has a nice outside shot, can get hot from behind the arc, and has great body control when driving baseline or in the lane for short jumpers. She’s consistent, both offensively and defensively, a solid rebounder, and has no problem taking the ball coast to coast.
Jenna Lucas- 5’11, F, 2022, Watkins Memorial: Jenna is one of the best all-around athletes I’ve seen in a long time; I’m convinced she can play any sport at a high level! She has a long, athletic frame, who is so versatile! Without question, a confident ball handler, has great hands, and a strong rebounder who can outlet the ball quickly to her teammates. She’s a handful to guard! Lucas positions her body well, especially when finishing shots in the paint with contact.
Mackenzie Schulz- 5’11, PG, 2023, Strongsville: Remember her name college coaches, because she is something else to watch! Mackenzie is such a dynamic player; putting the ball in the basket seems to be effortless for her. This silky smooth guard, who’s averaging 18 ppg, 8 rpg, 3 apg, and 3 spg, can knock down 3’s, create open mid- range jumpers for herself, and has no problem posting up in the paint. Her ball handling, rebounding, passing skills, and ability to make smart decisions on transition are very strong. What sets her apart from other players is her hustle, and the intensity she shows through her emotions (both on and off the court). You can’t teach drive- and she’s got it. (Featured Photo)
Emma Dretke Emma Dretke 5'9" | CG Jackson | 2022 State OH – 5’11, SF, 2022, Jackson: Emma has the athleticism and talent to play the game at a high level. She runs the floor well, has beautiful footwork, post-up moves, and has a dynamite shot! She can shoot the basketball very well from both mid-range and beyond the arc. The game comes naturally, as she makes the right moves at the right times. Emma’s length gives her the ability to block shots, rebound, deflect passes, make easy put backs, and ultimately, is a nightmare to stop.
