We will now do the same for the class of 2023.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="189313" first="Zoie" last="Bamm"] (PF, Brooklyn Columbia Central)</strong>
Bamm is a tough prospect that plays with a chip on her shoulder on defense. She’s an incredibly valuable effort player on a team that prioritizes defending.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="194462" first="Kara" last="Bartels"] (PF, Zeeland West)</strong>
<img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-209350" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2020/10/118_Kara-BartelsPrepHoops-2-300x300.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="300" />
Bartels footwork in the paint makes her an extremely tough matchup for opposing coaches. She moves horizontally in the lane and is quick rotating for help side defense.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="189293" first="Faith" last="Carson"] (C, Buchanan)</strong>
<img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-209352" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2020/10/120_Faith-CarsonPrepHoops-2-300x300.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="300" />
This one is really easy. Score against her, I dare you. Carson alters shots just by being in the right place. It’s not that easy though, because it takes a high defensive basketball IQ to recognize positioning like she does.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="189311" first="Sophia" last="Gray"] (C, Bedford)</strong>
Next level coaches have really got to pay attention to this young talent. Gray is a well rounded post player that will get the better of her matchup on almost any day.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="190712" first="Reagan" last="Greene"] (PF, Lake Orion)</strong>
<img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-209342" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2020/10/109_Reagein-GreenePrepHoops-2-300x300.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="300" />
I really enjoyed watching Greene play this summer and fall. I really felt like she made a huge statement. Greene is tough both physically and mentally, especially on defense. She’s the type of player that isn’t afraid to take on any matchup.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="189308" first="Nyemah" last="Hodo"] (C, Ecorse)</strong>
Hodo is, without a doubt, one of the top post defenders in Michigan. She makes sure there are no easy looks in the lane. Hodo has a nose for the ball on the shot, rises up, and sends it back.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="188583" first="Sarah" last="Rambus"] (PF, Flushing)</strong>
Rambus is long, athletic, and gets up and down the floor with ease. She storms back on defense and makes transition buckets very tough.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="230782" first="Olivia" last="Siedlecki"] (PF, Jenison)</strong>
There is a ton of post talent near and around Jenison, so let’s state the facts, you can’t be an All-Area type talent in the paint near Grand Rapids, if you can’t D up and get stops.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="190708" first="Mia" last="Zorski"] (C, Clarkston)</strong>
<img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-209340" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2020/10/107_Mia-ZorskiPrepHoops-2-300x300.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="300" />
I’m going to continue to say how important I believe Zorski will be in the success that Clarkston has this season. She is a solid and disciplined defender.
