Most of my games last week involved the Dayton area, but there were a few kids i will discuss this week from NE Ohio.
Today, a look at the seniors who shined last week in the games I saw.
Jordan Rogers Jordan Rogers 5'8" | CG Franklin | 2021 State OH , 5-10 Franklin
It was a special night for the Charleston Southern commit as on this night, she scored her 1,000th career point. Jordan (feature photo above) showed a lot of leadership for her team, with the ability to score from both the outside but also on the move. Can slash to the rim and finish, and a high percentage shooter from the line. Had good handles and the ability to create for her teammates or herself.
Sara Reis, 5-8 Kettering Alter
Had a steady floor game, and the senior is a good floor leader for her team. Streaky shooter, if she gets into a zone, she can bury a team with her perimeter shooting. Can also drive in for a midrange jumper. Good off the bounce. Sees the floor well and provides good senior leadership. Just a steady player who plays under control and does the little things well.
Hayley Gunter, 5-10 Kettering Alter
She is a versatile player who I saw contribute to her team both inside or out. She is physical and can use her body well to create a shot for herself. Not afraid to mix it up and earns opportunities. Does not score a lot from out beyond the arc, but on this night she connected from long range. Strong player around the basket, can rebound and start the break.
Samantha Reynolds, 6-0 Sidney
Impressed with her athletic ability and her ability to create for her team. She has the ability to score at the rim, has good body control and is a good catch-and-shoot player. Needs to learn to finish a bit more consistently. She is long and agile, runs the floor well and can finish on the break.
Taylor Thomas Taylor Thomas 5'7" | CG Doylestown Chippewa | 2021 OH , 5-9 Doylestown Chippewa
The Lake Erie commit had a big game against Norwayne with 23 points and eight boards in a loss, and came back in their win against Hillsdale with the identical stat line, 23 & 8. She has always been a perimeter threat with a quick release. She has now added a well-rounded offensive game, driving and creating. On the boards, she is as good as she has ever been.
