Oliver Exposure Scrimmage Evaluations

As most have already seen on Twitter, I have been covering various AAU Program’s workouts across the Chicagoland area. My next stop was with the Oliver Exposure group, who have an intriguing group of players across all classes. Thanks to Nancie Oliver and players in the program for having me! <strong>2023 Lily Montalvo, 5’5" Guard, Whitney Young</strong> Montalvo is a rock-solid Point Guard in the Sophomore class who does everything at a high level offensively. She has terrific handles and takes care of the ball, while using excellent court vision and passing abilities to set her teammates up for success. Lily shoots the ball very well from deep and uses her quickness and speed to attack the paint and finish among taller defenders at the hoop. <strong>2023 [player_tooltip player_id="148137" first="Lenee" last="Beaumont"], 5’10" Guard, Benet Academy</strong> A top player in the loaded Sophomore Class in Illinois, Beaumont showed why she deserves to be mentioned near the top of the list. Lenee has played with high-level upperclassmen at the high school and AAU levels for the past couple of years, so I have mostly seen her play as a talented role player with a high ceiling. During these scrimmages, however, she took over games with her ability to get to the rim and finish with either hand through contact, while also torching the nets from the outside. As her confidence and determination continue to increase, she will become a tough player to contain on the offensive end of the floor. <strong>2022 [player_tooltip player_id="160854" first="Mira" last="Schwanke"], 5’10" Guard, Fenwick</strong> Schwanke is a long and athletic Shooting Guard who is emerging as one of the better spot-up shooters in the Junior Class. She can play on or off the ball with her ability to bring it up the floor and get the offense moving. Mira is a tremendous asset on the defensive side as well, using her athleticism and long arms to guard a variety of players and bring down rebounds at a good rate for a Guard. <strong>2022 Lilah Gery, 5’8" Guard, Oak Park-River Forest </strong> A Combo Guard who gives a ton of effort on both ends of the floor, Gery consistently sets the tone with her well-rounded game and tough on-ball defense. She uses her quickness and length to make things difficult for opposing ball-handlers and is a willing rebounder. Lilah pushes the ball well in transition and can score at all levels or get the ball to her teammates with creative passes. <strong>2023 Sidney Rogers, 5’3" Guard, Glenbrook South</strong> Rogers is a speedy, confident lead Guard who makes things happen on offense. She thrives in an up-tempo game with her quick decision-making abilities and passing skills. Sidney can knock down shots regularly from deep and the mid-range and guards the ball well on the defensive end of the floor. <strong>2023 Campbell Brusca, 5’10" Forward, Fenwick</strong> A skilled interior post player who can stretch the floor a bit with her athleticism, Brusca is constantly in a position where her teammates can get her the ball. She knows how to gain position on the block and has a solid set of moves to create open looks at the rim. Campbell is a very hard worker in the lane and has the ability to step out to the Wing and attack the lane off the dribble to make plays. <strong>2024 Anna Rosenberger, 6’0" Forward, Glenbrook South</strong> Rosenberger is a strong inside player who plays above her grade level, using her strength and athleticism to dominate the paint. She moves well without the ball and can convert mid-range jumpers from the high post consistently. Anna has a high basketball IQ and crashes the boards anytime a shot goes up. <strong>2021 Yazmin Mosi, 5’10" Guard, Whitney Young</strong> A pure scorer and good shot-maker at all levels, Mosi impressed with her ability to create space between her and her defender and release the ball quickly. She has terrific footwork on the perimeter and in the high post to get her defender off balance and make a move. Yazmin clearly takes pride in her defensive ability and loves to rebound on both ends of the floor. <strong>2024 Chloe Gonzalez, 5’9" Guard, Glenbrook South</strong> Gonzalez is a strong and skilled guard with a very high upside. She has good length and skill to be successful at any Guard position on either end of the floor. Chloe shoots the ball well from deep with a  good-looking jump shot and uses her strength to absorb contact at the rim.
