Naomi Breunig Naomi Breunig 5'10" | CG Sauk Prairie | 2021 State WI | Sauk Prairie | 5’10 Senior
Breunig has always been a special player for this team and is even more exciting this season as she embraces a leadership role. In the couple games she has played this season her ability to push the basketball has really stuck out. She is poised with the ball and can isolate her defender with her technique on the perimeter. She can rise over most defenders due to her athleticism and clean release. She utilizes jabs well to get her defender off balance, and from there she chooses whether to drive or rise up. In a game against Reedsburg, she scored 11 points per game.
Bella Oestreicher | Beaver Dam | 5’9 Sophomore
Oestreicher has such a high ceiling on this Beaver Dam team. A squad full of talented athletes with a lot of height, the sophomore brings a quickness and facilitating skill that will really highlight her teammates and her own strengths. She clearly gives 100% on the floor and understands her role with multiple different line-ups. Not necessarily a “scoring guard” yet for this stacked team, it is certainly something she can tap into when the time comes. She is averaging 5.6 points per game. In a win against Fort Atkinson, the sophomore finished with 9 points.
Taylor Pfaff Taylor Pfaff 5'7" | CG Baraboo | 2023 WI | Baraboo | 5’7 Sophomore
Pfaff is the second leading scorer this season and is doing well on both ends. She is a dynamic two-way athlete that is essential for this team’s success. She’s been working extremely well next to Madison Memorial transfer Maya White-Eagle which has been exciting to watch. She is averaging 16.5 points per game. Pfaff has high energy and embraces the high-tempo game that is Baraboo. She can handle the ball as a primary option if needed, and her downhill drive is quicker than most defenders expect. She possesses the athleticism to finish strong against contact and lock down opponents on the perimeter; her two way potential is high.
Tyla Staude | Fort Atkinson | 5’8 Junior
Staude is so impressive on the floor because of her scoring mentality. She understands the game and how to score. She creates her own shot and is also super dynamic off the pass. She can attack on the dribble or knock down the three point shot if left open. She is averaging 9 points per game so far this season and has put up some impact numbers. In a two point win over Whitewater, Staude finished with 14 points. She will rebound her position well too because of her strength and size.
Aubrey Schmutzler | Watertown | 5’8 Senior
Schmutzler has really had a successful season thus far. She’s athletic and quick with a very impressive feel for the game. She is continuing to develop her finish moves and utilizing both hands at the basket. Her playmaking ability is clear- look for her to become a dominant passer by the end of the season. Her versatility is impressive- she can score the basketball and is comfortable finding the open shot for her teammate. She is averaging nearly 9 points per game this season and works well behind conference top scorer Teya Maas Teya Maas 6'1" | PF Watertown | 2021 State WI . She has great court vision on the floor as well.
Sydney Olson | Edgewood | 5’3 Senior
The senior has really stepped up this season to play the key guard position for Edgewood. Playing alongside two of the conference’s best post players, Olson has done so well becoming a floor general. She finds her teammates well and is especially important when finding her teammates in transition play. She can impact the scoreboard as well and has some crafty offensive moves. Olson is averaging nearly 7 points per game for her team this season. In a win against Janesville Craig, Olson finished with 9 points.
