Here are five standout 2022 prospects from this past week’s action:
Aniya Cramer | 2022 | 5’11’’ Power Forward | Little Elm HS – Cramer had an excellent game scoring in the paint and cleaning the glass at both ends vs. Prosper. She does a good job carving out space for herself down low. The 5-foot-11-inch junior was disciplined about boxing out and looked good when tracking the ball as a rebounder. Additionally, she displayed solid strength and is willing to use her body to establish positioning in the post.
Peyton Mosley | 2022 | 5’9’’ Point Guard | Prosper HS – Mosley struggled shooting the ball vs. Little Elm. However, she is a very capable scorer, evidenced by some impressive stat lines, including a pair of 27-point outings earlier in December. That said, the junior floor general still contributed with her passing and rebounding. She is a gifted distributor with exceptional vision. Mosley delivered accurate passes with both hands throughout the contest and had no issue finding passing windows to get the ball to her teammates.
India Howard | 2022 | 6’0’’ Power Forward | Coppell HS – Howard is a dynamic athlete at the four spot. She elevated well as an interior defender, accounting for multiple blocks vs. Hebron. The 6-foot forward also displayed some skill on offense, showing that she can attack off the dribble and finish with both hands when getting to the rim. Furthermore, Howard is a tough-nosed prospect who plays with a bit of edge. She is the tone-setter for Coppell.
Alessandra Pantoja | 2022 | 5’8’’ Shooting Guard | Hebron HS – Pantoja operated as a three-and-D off-guard for the Hawks on Friday. She came up huge in the second half, knocking down a pair of catch-and-shoot threes in the third quarter that afforded Hebron with a comfortable cushion for the remainder of the game. The junior guard had a solid night defending on the perimeter too, coming away with a steal in the closing minutes that ended Coppell’s fourth-quarter comeback attempt.
Bowden Janecek | 2022 | 5’9’’ Shooting Guard/Small Forward | Prosper HS – Janecek did a great job of containing the dynamic Amarachi Kimpson Amarachi Kimpson 5'7" | PG Little Elm | 2023 State TX on Tuesday. She possesses good length and a relentless motor. She is a sticky defender on and off the ball, sprints back on defense, and plays with physicality at both ends of the floor. The 2022 wing refuses to let her opponents outwork her. Her teammates feed off of her infectious energy as a result.
